Done it again, typed huge post and forgot to copy it, timed out so not showing!
Just back from taking the 2 olders DGSs home, came up to computer and a new post-it pad has been individually pulled apart and all sheets sitting at the computer. Who did that then?????????
Boys have been really good this weekend and got a toy yesterday as they had been really good at home (we are having to do a wee reward system just now as I think new baby, third sibling syndrome kicking in!).
I get a lot of complimentary Sherston Educational software at work and brought a new programme home for DGS1 to try out. He thought it fantastic and has taken it home for a week. He was doing adding up today on the computer (with the help of fingers) but I think he is now having an extra year at nursery of great benefit.
DS has just phoned to say they are buying another house (£240,00 - 345,000 euro thereabouts!!!!!!!!!!) It sounds lovely but they are now busy with roller sprucing up their apartment to sell!!!!!!!!!
Twink - glad you have heard from Kyle. Journey back shouldn't be so bad with little one. We went family holiday when DGS1 was 16 months old - the family you do not want to be beside on a flight. He was fine on the way home and remember how enchanting and exciting he was when I took him to Dublin in February?
Pink - hope son is still doing fine and I am so glad that your sister didn't disgrace you - no headlines tomorrow then in the Daily Record!!!!!!! Haribo - sounds like a good time.
PennyP - glad you now at your sister's. Not a good shopping trip but I know you will keep up the good work with her. Not an easy time.
Sorry not to mention anyone else but haven't read the whole thread. Love and hugs to you all.

have just made a carott cake. Have made one before using the same recipe as today, but last time i halved the ingredients. This time i didnt realise till halfway through i hadnt halfed the ingredients. Now i have MORE than double the mixture  dont know how????
I think it's one of the mysteries of life
Last w/e I made Ginger Parkin and decided to make 2 while I was at it. Used the same sized tin as previously but was there just enough for 2? No - as they rose and poured all over the baking sheets I'd put them on, I realised that making 3 would have been better :rotfl: Still tasted delish though.
Well, the roast dinner is going to be late. I had my afternoon planned as the boys went to the footie with "himself". Did my ironing, started unpacking DW, made a coffee and was then going to put chicken in.... when friend from next door came round and suggested we went on a long bike ride. Part of me feels great cos it was a beautiful day and we rode along some lovely country lanes. However, part of me (I'm sure you can guess which bit
) is somewhat tender .... so much for my "monkey-bum" cycling shorts!! :rotfl:
So, I've had a shower and am in my PJ's. Just need to get my spuds and veg done and even tho it's chicken, I feel the need for yorkies  Ooooooh, and maybe mint sauce or minted gravy as well
Extra (((hugs))) to those in need or to your sick littles and loved ones.

ps. It's time for wine - in fact, waaaaaay past time for wine as I'm sure Nels will agree

I'm so sorry about your nephew Annie. You did the right thing with the letter. x
I have to admit that while I may live in Scotland I am Irish born and bred so only cheer on the bravehearts by default.;)
OH did not come back for hours so I didn't get a chance to go out and buy the meat until 5pm. It's in the oven but i reckon we won't be eating until 8!
While I was chopping so much veg for tonight I did triple so we can have a full leftover meal tommorrow and added the rest to some reduced braising beef which is in the slow cooker with some ale and lentils. So no cooking for the next 2 days. :j
Off to read the papers now. This must be a record. I usually don't get to glance at them till about wednesday.
PS TM you read my mind....Off to make some yorkies and open a bottle of red (though not necessarily in that order);)0 -

Waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy past
Now i have a small confession to make - you know I have been "coordinating" my dinners quite well during this kitchen fitting - well today I messed up and as such are going to have to do a version of Dawn French in her "how many Christmas Dinners do I have to eat" episode of Vicar of Dibley.
My lovely neighbour round the corner invited me for dinner (shes cooking the full roast with starter and pudding:j ) So here I am on my puter browsing mse before i go round when theres a knock on the door with my other lovely neighbour stood there with a massive plated up dinner (with pudding). "I know your still struggling with cooking so I did you something for later" so do I say "ah thanks but im off elsewhere"? Nah I couldnt so I thanked her profusely and now have 2 roasts to eat:D :rotfl:
I have learned two things today
1. I have lovely friends/neighbours
2. I cant eat two full meals - freezer i guess for one:D0 -
Haribo re the rugby. I am the same but as our boys wuz robbed

And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.
:A Level 42- the reason I exist. :A0 -
Well, let's keep everything crossed for the rugby tonight. Some strange results!!!!!!!! Haribo, yeah well can do the Irish as DS living over there! Scotland might do OK??????????????????????????
Missed Strickly Come Dancing last night as sorting our DGSs - was it good? Hope to watch the results in a minute.

PS Did minted gravy tonight with meat taken out freezer. DH and I think this the way to go unless a big family gathering for a lamb joint when I will do 'real' mint sauce.0 -
anniestar thats very sad news about your nephew, love and hugs to you x0

anniestar (((hugs))) for you and yours. Such sad news about your nephew. I hope he isn't in any pain. The letter must have been difficult to write but you will be glad you did it.
elona and TM I had a similar experience with soup today. I used the same amount of veg as normal but have had to water it down again and again. Will make quite a few meals though.
:j
Nelski hope you have enough wine to sup with both dinners.
Got quite a few jobs done around the house without too much effort today - which is exactly my kind of housework. Shredding is done, filing is done, bottom of the fridge soup is made, beds have been changed, all the washing is done and is now on the airer, dishes are all done, bathroom has been cleaned. lunch made for tomorrow and I even managed to do a couple of sudokus too. Not bad for me.
Can't wait for the rugby now. Today's game was a corker. I really, really, really hope Scotland can pull off a win. Fingers crossed."Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Evening :hello:
anniestar ((hugs))
I had to have a lie down this afternoon after a huuuuuge harvest lunch at church, but then I started having a sort out around the flat. There are piles of stuff EVERYWHERE  but at least it's not hiding in corners any more
The big thing I've done is I've (single-handedly) turned my bed round onto a different wall of my bedroom. It makes the layout of the flat "flow" a lot better, because now there's a clear path through from the front door to the opposite wall where the bedroom window is. Now I just have to make everything nice and tidy around it
Watching X Factor at the moment - great idea about the wine, everybody
I have half a bottle left over from last night so am about to get stuck into that
Love Rzl xx
