Wellllllllllllllllll, we've schemed, plotted and planned

If we sell the house now, we'll need a mortgage of £90,000.
If we wait 5 years, we'll need approx. £75,000 - that's if we don't save any money at all. As long as mr tru doesn't lose his job (no chance of that happening), and we save, then we'll need a mortgage of £51,000. Course, that's been worked out on today's house prices
Cornwall would be ideal, there's 2 areas in Devon that we really like and in fourth place is Somerset
:T :T :T :T :T :T Similar plan to us, then! We're looking at becoming *farmers* in about 6 years (when DS is 18, and DH is 50) though this will involve DH being able to work part time, as due to recent changes he won't be able to draw a pension until he's 55  We're looking at North Yorkshire or Cumbria.
Keep us posted on developments

Just popping in to show my support for Pen Pin. I get all kinds of rubbish from people(not had any on here yet, touch wood!)and it feels horrid, doesn't it? I really admire you and see you as an inspiration-if you want to let off steam here then do-don't let some narrow minded person stop you from doing so!

hello everyone,
I have just been to Sainsburys on the way home from work to buy some cleaning bits, I thought this may give everyone a giggle.....
I wanted to purchase a mop (fairly simple device most of us here know how they work) The young lad at the till happily scanned my bleach, descaler and carpet cleaner but when it came to my mop bold as brass he says to me " have you got any ID?" "What for I say...." "This item we have a policy at sainsburys if you look under 21 we must ask you for ID to prove you are over 18...." getting worried now I dont have ID on me Im 30 but dont drive etc....... "I dont have ID" he says "Im very sorry but this is a restricted item and I cant sell you it without seeing your ID" (queue building young lad looking awkward) Long and short it took 30mins but he then called supervisor who agreed it must be a computer error and they didnt need to see my ID and I could buy my mop.... but I though the concept of u/18s not being allowed to buy mops may raise a smile here.......
Have a great weekend all Im off to clean my kitchen!0 -
Afternoon/Evening All
(((hugs))) if required.
PP - enjoy the break with your sis. Def report who sent that pm, this site especially this board, do not need people like that.
Not done loads today but hey it is the weekend. Got ds ready for footie practice, hoovered and sorted washing before setting off to hairdressers. Now have nice hair which is all one colour now. Strangely sitting in the hairdressers wears me out (?).
Off out tonight at a family disco at another football club - buffet included. They want to do it each month from now on and tonight might have a few teething problems so we have had a quick dinner of chicken wraps incase the buffet runs out. Loads of our friends are going too so should be fun.
Need to dry and straighten dd's hair in a min so will be off now, have a lovely evening.

Oh and thanks all for the ideas re my hall carpet. The hallway colour we have inherited is not nice at all so we have decided to strip the wall paper tomorrow and get walls back to plaster rip up carpet and put a cheapo one down for now (oh's mate will do it). The hallway is the last room to be done but beleive me this will make it look vastly improved. So in the end the dog did me a favour - every cloud has a silver lining and all that.0 -
