Morning all. Haven't had a chance yet to read yesterday's thread but let me add my name to those who are disgusted that someone so small minded could send PMs to PennyPincher, who has more than enough to deal with and who is fantastic, almost always upbeat despite her problems. <<<<massive hugs>>>> to you, PP. (and I have my PMs turned off so yah boo to anyone thinking they can do the same to me).
Cloudy here this morning but <drum roll> I have already FINISHED my ironing :j so have most of today clear to sew, yay. DD is off to work in a mo and OH is planning to go to a small music shop a few miles from here to get his guitar fixed (oh no!
) so a few minutes of peace for me :j
Hugs to anyone feeling down, or ill. PP keep your pecker up, we all love you:beer:

Morning All

Am off out to a wedding soon, my neice is getting married in Essex - churchy stuff followed by the obligatory wine and buffet! so chance to let my hair down and have a cheese and pineapple or two! :rotfl: and relax as im not taking the little uns, they are off to nanny's:T may even dance round my handbag!:rotfl: Do they still play agadoo at weddings???!!:rotfl:
As I fell asleep at 8.30 last nite I didnt catch up on yesterdays thread, but have just read it. I just want to say thats an awful thing to do to someone - like others have said we all have a moan (god i did the other day!) and we all post about different things - but there really is no need to stoop so low in life is there?? you can just ignore what people have put - you dont have to victimise people do you?! I know i was grateful for the support, it didnt have to be from everybody -but if just one person said something supportive then that can make all the difference to someones day!
PP - you post whatever you like.;)
Right must go and dry and coiffure my barnet!:D
Have a good saturday everyone! byee0 -
morning all
just popped on to give Pen Pin some support I am so sorry that someone was so nasty as to send you the PM we are all friends on here and as such sometimes we need to let off steam as we all do at one time or another without feeling that we have to watch what we say
so hugs to Pen Pin and i hope you are ok0 -
Morning Guys!
Thanks for all the sweet comments and PM's. MATH...you are funny and I love ya:D I am going to continue posting and about my health too:p...this is my only real outlet.
My sister called last night and has asked for me to go down there for a couple of days. Have decided to go down this afternoon. Called and asked consultant first but has given me strict rules to obey by:rolleyes: ....I dunno....25 years being a consultant/proffessor and he thinks he knows what he's talking about:D My sister will have to give me my jabs over the next 2 days:eek:   ....that will be fun! Will be taken in next week at Kings and a tube set up. This should put some weight on me which will help my body fight the different things going on and allow the meds to work better. I am eating very small amounts but feel sick all the time. They will also give most other drugs through my veins to get them directly in there.
OH desperately needs a break from me and sister is a good carer and she isnt doing so well being by herself now, so we're killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Anyway, the house is pretty tidy, washing upto date and toilet scrubbed. DD & OH arent the tidiest of people, but they can look after them selves for a couple of days.....hopefully:rotfl:
Thanks again for all the lovely comments. I am a tough (not too old) bird and I will get through it!
Hugs to everyone.

Morning everyone
I don't understand why someone would be so mean as to keep PMing PenPin, especially when we've all publicly expressed support for her to keep posting as she normally does.
Would the person who is PMing PenPin please make yourself known.
Perhaps you'd like to explain your reasoning on here, where we can all try and understand?
Haven't been around for a few days, as we've been resiting our veggie beds and building new raised beds. Have had enough of shovelling earth for a while now!
Went to see "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue" yesterday evening; we've been to a few recordings before, now for the first time ever it's on tour, and it was even better.
Busy making Ciabatta this morning, and we're having HM canelloni for dinner tonight. I've also got one last Christmas Cake to make, will do that later on.
My back is aching from the digging, so will be taking it easy for the rest of the day. Have a good one everyone xxx0 -
have a good break away PP. will be good for you, your sister and your OH. its a win win situation. being a carer is a tough job. and just think about the welcome home!! bet they'll miss you!x x x0

Good morning everybody
P-P - So sorry to hear about your pm - hope the sender has read all the kind messages that you've had and is now regretting their impulsive attitude.
Good luck and ((((((((hugs )))))))) to everybody who needs them.
I've just posted on the Oct GC thread for the first time - now is the time to bite the bullet, pull in the belt, tighten the purse-strings etc etc.
Just checked the small freezer contents. Apart from ever deepening coating of icecrystals, there are: 2 loaves (whoopsied), pk of multi-grain rolls(whoopsied), 1 pk of bagels, 3 pks crumpets (whoopsied), 8 ASDA chinese/indian deli meals (whoopsied), chinese spring rolls (whoopsied), 1 pizza style garlic bread, 1 pk of garlic mushrooms, 1 pk chicken kievs (whoopsied), 2 lge pks of shin beef, 1 lb mince beef, 2 half pound pks mince beef, 2 lge packs belly pork, 1 pk chow mein, 1 pk sausages, 2 pks bacon, 1 pk cauliflower cheese grills, 1 lasagne, a half bag of oven chips (decanted into freezer bag as OH destroyed the real bag), 1 full bag oven chips (OH ordered to keep out of it this time!), 1 pk of 4 pork/apple burgers, tub of parsnip/apple soup(whoopsied) today's lunch!, 2 pork steaks, steak/onion lattice (whoopsied), 1 medium trout(whoopsied), 1 pk marlin steaks (whoopsied)!
Fridge/freezer contains: 2 pks frozen chocolate snacky things, half bar plain choc, 1 macaroni cheese, 1 fisherman's pie, 1 cheese/broccoli quiche (whoopsied), lge bag plain sausages, bag steamed veg, bag garden peas, 1 pizza, pk scampi.
Reckon that lot should save me a large chunk of money this month - as long as I can curb OH's 'nibbly stuff' spending sprees - hence the amount of chocolate stuff in the fridge/freezer!
Have also been working my way through an excess of cleaning products that had accumulated over a couple of years (and even moved house with me) - so under sink cupboard is now looking far more respectable! But how the heck have I finished up with 2 bottles of turps
- it must be about four years since we did any decorating because we knew for a few years about last Nov's move to this house!
OH is being despatched to ASDA this morning on orders to get a Smartprice Stewpack, some Smartprice Potatoes (I feel a pan of Scouse coming on for Monday/Tuesday) and some more milk - on second thoughts maybe I should despatch myself! I could do with the exercise (a mile walk) and we don't need any more nibbly stuff that he would not be able to resist! Also a good time to check out if there are any more reduced baby items in the George clothing section for 'forthcoming DGD2' (I am very good in that I only get bargain stuff and have been stocking up on age 9-12 months for next summer in end of summer sale!).
Of course in true money-saving style I ALWAYS remove the 'reduced price' labels from everything I buy
- what they don't know about don't hurt 'em!
Have a good day everybody! Hopefully I'll get back to posting again later, and let you know the results of my little foray into the land fo ASDA!

Morning everyone :hello:
Huge (((hugs))) of support to Penny Pincher.
It's going to be a bonanza time of rugby for DH and I this afternoon.
We're watching the England v Australia match round at the in-laws' house, quickly zipping off to Leicester to see them wallop Gloucester
, then zip back to the in-laws' to watch the New Zealand match. All those [STRIKE]gorgeously toned legs[/STRIKE] expert skills being shown will be excellent.
Need to iron my rugby shirt, so I'll be off now!!!

Gee I hope your barracking for Australia to win Vicki.
I'd say our team would have the best toned, brownest legs.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.
