Hi Everyone, Saturday again - thank goodness! It's quite bright here and should stay dry. WM is already on.

Dad got home from hospital yesterday, so that's really good news.

This morning I am going to tackle the understair cupboard, it resembles the black hole of Calcutta at the moment. It houses everything - sewing machine and all that goes with that - tumble dryer- iron and ironing table -laptop - all paperwork - all cleaning items - knitting bag - jam jars - DIY tools - spare paint - telephone directories - potatoes - brush, shovel, mop and bucket - everyday jackets - plastic bag holder . You name it, IT'S THERE !!!
So, it's going to be a major job, but I have to do it as it's really annoying me now. When it get's this bad I just end up chucking things in which just makes it worse. Anyway that's my chore for this morning. And on the plus side I find it very therapeutic organising cupboards, SAD ME !!!

This afternoon I am going to visit my sister, looking forward to that.

For dinner I am having HM lasagne(from the freezer), HM oven chips and salad, then low fat HM yoghurt mousse.

The new series of ROBIN HOOD starts tonight, I know it's childrens TV but I love it !!!

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

    Morning everyone

I am still very angry that Pen-Pin got that awful PM from a small minded person, and not for the first time, whether it was from the same person or not I do not know. Eventually after being on here for some months you work out how ill she is, as she does not advertise it IMHO, being stuck at home how can she let off steam when upset/angry/hurting/frustrated. she cannot just get up and go next door to a mate who will have a sympathetic ear to lend, and even though her OH is great and has to do virtually everything for her, there are times he will frustrate her, and she cannot show that to him either. This is the one medium she can get to and talk to someone and let her hair down (metaphorically IYKWIM). If someone does not want to read a persons posts then the can add them to an ignore list and that is the end of it, and/or scan over the posts on a thread, not dictate what we want to read. Pen-Pin ignore them and keep going on here. Don't let them win!

Couldnt have put it better myself. Havent been around much lately as both dd and me have been full of cold. Shes on the mend and has slept better last night so hopefully I can catch up on my sleep and get this infection off my chest.

Plans for the day are get some washing dried outside as I think its going to be a nice here. I need to go to Aldi for some bits, while I'm out hopefully DH is going to replace the cooker cable which had started to melt when I pulled the cooker out. Then I think we will take the chance to have a tidy up in the garden as it may be our last chance before the weather changes.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning all :hello:

I've been lazy this week, only doing the bare minimum :o And yesterday, I did NOTHING, we decided to go Cotswold Wildlife Park instead. There was this one monkey, he came right up to the edge of his cage and glared at mr tru so he started making faces at it and it copied everything he did :rotfl: When we went to Newquay zoo a few weeks ago, the lion had a good look at her audience (everyone had crowded round to watch her being fed) and stopped when she spied mr tru and very slowly walked over to him. She was about 6 feet away and it was like she was trying to stare him out. Creepy. I can't decide whether animals don't like mr tru - or they like him too much :rotfl:

Not much doing today - 2 loads of washing, a trip to the bank and a visit to Hobbycraft. Then sit in front of the TV to catch up with Grey's anatomy and CSI :D

    Morning

Pen Pinch - Send the pm on to me - I will copy it onto the daily thread and we can sit back and watch them ceremonially ripped apart from everyone on here:D I dont understand why this person (Im assuming its the same person thats done it to you a few times before) picks on you. Its bullying and its as simple as that - I cant bear bullying in any form so if you would like some help then let me know;) (I currently know lots of well built men in shorts who could be sent round) Anyway please dont stop posting that way they will have won.

Well had to contend with a cold shower this morning - Im hoping its because the kitchen fitters have turned the gas off and not a problem. The kitchen is now out and in the skip and new one is in boxes scattered around the house.

My lovely neighbour took pity on me last night and fed and watered me (well red wine actually:D ) and I had 3 offers yesterday of meals next week so with any luck I wont be spending too much time at the chippy. Tonight is chippy for sure though - my 11 year old god daughter is "working" at the local stables for the day and asked if she could come for a sleepover after work. She particularly wants to stay because I have no kitchen and the house will be a mess (her mum is a little on the keen side with house cleaning so a mess is a real novelty for her:rotfl: ) So tonights plan will be to sit on boxes and eat chips from the paper:T

"The Legs" are arriving at 9 to continue fitting - Im quite impressed they work weekends
So for anyone who is worried that they may need to have a little swish round in the kitchen today then put your feet up chill because after all it could look like this:rotfl:

Hugs to all and have a lovely weekend if you can

    Hi everybody

Been so busy for last couple of days that I have not been able to get near the computer apart from to quickly scan so not sure what has happened to Pen Pin but I will read threads later. Whatever it is sounds horrible and as a newbie (or fairly0 I would just like to say how kind and supportive I have found everyone on here and if there is someone who is feeling less charitable please write a letter to yourself then bin it DONT come on here where everyone tries to help each other
    OK

So sorry that Csarina,amie399 and Pink winged are of the insomniac variety. I have phases and it drievs me mad!! Everything gets out of proportion in the night and it seems sooooos long. Perhaps you had all better join MSN and talk to each other

mioliere and all those struggling with the bug or just feeeling unwell I do hope you feel better soon.Perhaps a dose or two of Echinacea is called for. I really find it helps.

Anniestar and taplady-- thank you so much for my waves ---You make my day

-donnny-gal-- so glad you are settling well. Thanks for pm I am rushing round like a mad thing trying to get ready.

    Hi to all the newbies

Well I want to thank everyone on this forum -- I can not believe what a difference the store cupboard/ freeezer challenge is making to our lives. We go to Spain on the 21 st and I am determined to empty the 3 freezers I have bulging so as not to waste all that leccie( mostly full of soups and batch baking and all the bargains I see). Oh is in total agreement and I have not shopped apart from milk and fresh fruit( apples from tree in garden) for over 3 weeks. I think it will all last til we go so will have saved over £300 by then. If you need some extra cash for Christmas give it a go. If you are stuck for ideas about what to cook with some of the odd ingredients you find lurking pop them on google or here and a recipe pops up its amazing.

Well I know it sounds crazy and you can laa laa laa if you want but because we are going to be away for 8 weeks and not home til 18 dec we have written all the cards, wrapped all the presents, stuffed the stockings sorted all the birthdays til January and it feels REALLY weird but I guess it will be great to come back and it all be done. Well it would never get done if we left it.

Well today we have got a memorial fund raising day for a dear freind who died 3 years ago from a massive heart attack at only 50. So basket of home made cards done and also a cake. Hope they raise £££££

Congratulations tp all those celebrating and gentle thought to all those feeling alone sad or just fed up
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hi, I don't normally post on this board but I do read it occasionally and I'm absolutely appalled that someone could do something so underhand and nasty to send a nasty PM like that - cowards!!!!

I just wanted to say that I'm an admin on a couple of other forums and we have the ability to read PM's in people's inboxes if necessary (rarely need to though and have to sign a confidentiality clause to do so) so make sure you do report it to admin so they can take a look and take whatever steps necessary to prevent them doing it again ;)

Also, all IP's are logged and visible to admin/mods and there's a function to tell us if anyone signs up to more than one name, so to the person who has done this, you will be found out even if you used another name to log in by!!! :D

    Sniff.

Well, if our PP isn't allowed to talk about her health, then surely the rest of us can't mention our kids, OHs, pets, holidays, insomnia and work.

    Should we just say -

This is what I plan to today -

    Make bread
    Wash dishes
    Change beds
    2 loads of washing
    Hoover downstairs

Then later on we can post -

I didn't have time for everything, here's my updated list -

    [strike]Make bread[/strike]
    [strike]Wash dishes[/strike]
    [strike]Change beds[/strike]
2 loads of washing (I only managed one load - I didn't have time)
    [strike]Hoover downstairs[/strike]

    I think not.

    Sniff (again).

    Morning all

Didnt post yesterday as Horse of the Year has started and have been glued to the TV for three hours each night!

Im off to work shortly. Just nipping in for a couple of hours to sort some bits out. Then its a half day Monday and the rest of the week off. Cant wait.

Hugs to everyone that needs them, hope the insomnia goes away for those suffering.

Got a load of housework to do this afternoon - let it slip the past few days and the children have taken full advantage to destroy everything they can find.

Going to get the children ready to take to my mums - see you all later x x

    morning all,

Nelski, your kitchen will be worth the wait, my kitchen was like that all over xmas one year  the only good thing about it all was that my sister who does not normally cook did it all :D

Chalky I am Veeeeery impressed that you are so organised over xmas, wish I was I am sure I will get there.

Plans for today are quick clean and tidy through, get DD to clean her room
Take some stuff to the charity shop / dump. Got lots of washing to do, one lot in machine now, another few to go in.
Then will take little dog for a long walk through the woods, I love saturdays x

We have got 'cheesy nabs' for tea :D , which is a name I made up for a selection of things - nice bread, soft french brie, danish blue, assorted meats, tomatoes, crisps, houmous, one of my favourites ( i say that about everything) and no cooking involved :D

Pen Pin, hold your head up girl, you are among friends here, s*d the sad bar steward who did it xxx
