Whooop big PPI payment I wasn't expecting arrived today in a cheque. Emergency fund and 3monthfund are both now full to the brim. So pleased we actually got ourselves organised and looked into this after years of paying money to different banks and lenders.
Still job hunting for when this mat leave ends as I know a permanent job would really help with our finances long term but feel like we've got a cushion financially for a few months if we need it & hopefully we can stash a bit more away until my contract ends. Bank loan is paid up by summer too so only Mr T's loan and mortgage after that.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

And payroll don't appear to be paying me again tomorrow, not sure if this means they are moving my pay date to match other teachers or just can't be bothered paying me at all now! They really are rubbish. So that's another day of phoning them tomorrow, not a happy bunny at all. Either way the mortgage and big bills go out on the 16th so will need to either get paid or shuffle some money around to make sure they get paid.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Pay day has moved to 22nd, cross that they couldn't be bothered even letting me know. School admin was fuming too but nowt she can do about it. Good job we've got the PPI in to cover the mortgage and loans today but still really annoying.

Going to see what happens jobwise but plan is to batter it down asap, then it's mortgage time but I need the security of a permanent post if I can get one first. Might get it paid off early once I've checked out the facts & figures then we might be able to pay a bit more off Tesco loan from my wages till summer.
