MOT was a success at only £33.10, just needed one small bulb so that was a big relief! Sawdust and a treat for the rabbit and that's all the spends for the day. Visited the library to get copies of some books I need for school next half term rather than buying them and got another 2 on order - just need to make sure I don't take them back late now so have put it on family calendar, in diary and put a notification on my phone too.

Great news on getting some PPI money and well done on resisting the urge to splurge
.
I hope you manage to get another role straight after this one because then your EF can stay intact.
Good luck with your half term tidying and de-cluttering project.

Busy day yesterday and a NSD apart from petrol as I had an impromptu visit to my parents 100 miles away. Dad not well and refusing advice for a hospital stay to clear a nasty chest & leg infection, was struggling to breathe on Tuesday night! He's now doing what he's told and resting properly whilst on a cocktail of drugs so am happy I went across. Resisted the lure of a big Sainsbury's I normally stop at half way there for a snack/drink/inevitable buy of clothes too!

I last commented on your diary back in 2017! Anyway, I'm all caught up and I enjoyed the read, sounds like everything is going in the right direction
Also, glad your dad has listened, my dad is similarly stubborn - currently he's hurt his back but won't take any painkillers and still went to karate last nightMake £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Blimey that was a long time ago now! All positive at the moment and a little bit more shuffled over today. Hubby hasn't really realised I am stashing away any extra he gets paid so another £122.66 shuffled over to the 3month pot today, really pleased to have that much stashed away should we need it.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Car tax renewal came for hubby's car so have set up a direct debit to pay it annually from now on, the stress of the clamping and the fine did my head in last year. I do try and leave things for him to do but he is so laid back he's horizontal :rotfl:
NSD again today, got no time to spend while I'm at work all the time, guess it's good for the bank balance though.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Food shop done £32 for the week as one of us is away from Wednesday and I am still on the £1 meals at work. Still trying to budget but broken it a few times in last week or so with spending money for the trip abroad (teen going to USA). All worth it in the long run but just don't want things to run away with us again. Hopefully pay day on Friday will be right this time as it was hopeless last month and I had to ring as they'd only paid me £116 for a full months teaching!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
