Cheap movie morning with the boy £2.20 for movies with juniors using meerkat code for me. Then a lot of dull house stuff to get sorted but not in the mood for doing it really. Need to get off my bahookie and just get on with it.

Failed to get off bahookie then had a superb lie-in till 10am today - no idea how that happened! Still got lots of niggly stuff to get done over the next few days so going to do a 15 mins thing to get through them.
Moneywise DH gets paid today and I get paid a small amount tomorrow so there is technically money in our account but all of it is needed for the November bills so having to transfer a chunk over from our savings to make sure everything's covered. Trying to stay well within our weekly budget so everyone is on eating up cupboard stocks and packed lunches resume from Monday. Going to go through what we have and menu plan as much as possible for the next few weeks.
Also need to get back into walking and running to keep my brain fresh and give me some space when I'm not either in work or at home. Weight is happily where I want it to be for now but I know my actual food intake has been pretty ropey and probably isn't helping with energy levels so need to eat better.

Went for a run first thing yesterday and really enjoyed it so have planned in some more runs this week. Also gutted our clothes and sorted out my wardrobe at long last. Got lots of clothes just rubbish at wearing them as I tend to stick to jeans and t-shirt but now I'm back in work full time I've got not excuse.
Crafty stash also sorted and I am mid-way through putting them in a drawer tower to organise them. They were all in our bedroom too but we have a big garage so it might as well all go in there, then it's not reminding me of what I've not got done! I definitely don't need to buy anything else for about the next 6 years with all the things I've had stashed away!
Mini food shop also done to sort lunches for tomorrow and this afternoon's plan is to go through the kitchen and work out how many meals we can get out of what's already there, so we might be eating some fairly random stuff over the next few days.

First day in the new job and all good. Journey took a bit longer than I thought but setting off early also means I can get stuff done before anyone gets in. Menu planned so I need to nip out for a few bits & bobs but reckon we'll be under £40 for good this week as we're using up a lot of stuff. Work also good cos it means I've no time to spend any money!

Been reviewing where we are up to after 8 weeks in new job, they messed up pay days so it took them that long to pay me! Had to use up most of the emergency fund to pay the bills so next challenge is to refill that and start saving up again as the job isn't permanent so I might need money for bills again come August and September.

Overall our debts of £24922.08 have been reduced to £14522.02 since I left my permanent job so I'm pretty pleased with that tbh. Hubby has changed his attitude to money a lot too and has enjoyed seeing us pay debts off. Still got a way to go and then we really need to tackle the mortgage but happy that the numbers are a lot lower than they were. Got a couple of PPI claims that are paying out in the New Year so have decided to split them for debts, savings and mini splurges so that we get some fun from them too. Big Christmas food shop later but we have £110 of vouchers towards it and a lot of basics stashed throughout the year so hoping to use any spare to stock up cupboards a bit.

Woohoo, all that planning ahead worked, 44p short of our £110 vouchers so they gave us that in change. Plenty of little treats in there as well so it feels a lot more Christmassy now than it did.
