    Nothing like that at all, have been off the proper survey for about 10 months, but doing correctly delivered / unaddressed mail as normal.
    So its not reliability on my part theirs maybe :eek::eek:

    The do take panellists off the longer posting and receiving surveys for periods of time. I think this is a fairly normal procedure so perhaps you have done nothing wrong, although I think the way it was flagged up may be somewhat unusual.

    Have you tried asking them why? I am currently resting so have not even tried to log in after reading the comments about the upgrade on here. Sounds as though it could be another glitch especially as you are currently doing the other surveys.

    I messaged TNS through the dashboard on Monday afternoon about my completely empty/missing posting locations and couldn't see my sent message so did it again on Wednesday as all mine were still missing and I couldn't restore any of them by adding them myself. Like others on here i tried all formats and nothing worked. I received a reply on Friday telling me to send them my list of posting locations and they will check them and add them. I felt they were suggesting I'd made a mistake but I've actually re-checked the post box Ids and have taken photos too to so I've got something to refer to. Anyhow I've emailed them my list so I'll wait and see how long it takes them to action it but imagine it's chaos over there! I'm currently resting from the main survey but participating in the correctly delivered survey so no real rush to have post boxes against my account I guess, nevertheless, what a faff if some of have to email any variation in postal locations and await verification by the powers that be before we can enter our sent items!! If this is the new way forward there's no way they will be able to gather the data in a timely fashion. :(

    After seeing Aninymoose's post above I just tried adding a couple of my postal locations by adding a capital D at the end. It's so far worked for 3 of 5 that i've tried which is a great start as all my locations were missing on the new portal. It's very odd because none of my postboxes actually have a D in their ID as shown on their info plate on the actual postboxes. Also one of the ids is ABC 31, which didn't work with an additional D but when i replaced the number 1 with a D it's appeared and is in the correct location. I think something as gone very wrong with their data during the move which has corrupted it and is why when we're searching for our postboxes the system is stating that the ID's don't exist. Fortunately I'm not active at the moment and hopefully this will be resolved by the time i'm reactivated. If i were currently active i wouldn't be happy having to waste time to contact TNS to add/amend any variation in the posting locations and then waiting for their response action by which time no doubt I would have received umpteen emails for late entry of data.
    Oh well we can only hope that these are teething problems and not the shape of things to come!

    I suspect any data they have to submit to the Regulator in this current period is going to be completely off the radar due to all the mistakes. I don't know why they didn't conduct a limited pilot scheme in a certain geographical location first. this might have given them a clue as to some of the problems they were likely to encounter and given them an opportunity to correct them before the platform went national. Virtually all new computer systems have glitches, partly because the people who design them are never the people who actually have to OPERATE them and this is how the mistakes and omissions are normally uncovered.


    having said this, I've discovered certain things. When I use the platform on my iPad the screen is too small to display the whole area to be used. The Dashboard icons on the left don't show any visible writing to name them and these only show if you widen the first column.


    Similarly when entering information on the Receiving or Posting section, information at the bottom of the screen often doesn't show up or freezes and scrolling doesn't always work.so I have to log out and log back in again.
    If I enter data using my laptop, these problems don't seem to apply.

    Incidentally I seem to remember them saying that on the new system you would be able to amend the smart you are including with an item.
    I see that you can amend the smart to another one on the list.


    However somebody this week sent me a wrong smart with a different number to the one they were probably supposed to have used. This one doesn't appear on my list of smarts, despite the fact that I entered the number of my Received Smarts list. I am now lumbered with an apparently ROGUE smart which I can't use because it doesn't appear on my list.


    I don't know whether to perpetuate the problem by using it anyway or just sending it back as otherwise I'll be left with insufficient smarts for next week's mailings. Silly little problems but I imagine they all screw up the accuracy of their recording information.
  • Seems to me that they could perhaps have made use of resting panelists to trial the new site instead of confusing active ones.

    Message TNS with the details and they will make a note and tell you to send the SMART back to them :)
