I use my spare labels either for sender's details (ie the ones with my address on) or the blank ones as address labels for private parcels when needed.

Plastic bags get kept and turned inside out for reuse as postal packaging.
Elastic bands either get kept, or used to secure RFID in cubes. Large plain envelopes get kept for future use when needed (not often but handy to have).
Polystyrene I'm afriad largely gets binned but good idea @Greenqueen_2 about using them in plant pots.
I do keep some for when I'm refurbishing furniture, they're handly to elevate items up from the ground on, or i stick the screws of knobs in them if painting handles.

Spare cable ties get kept in case i need to kidnap anyone (am kidding 😊)

I reuse most things, take blank paper, envelopes and labels into the school where I work, I am going to use the cable ties for my plants when they need to be tied up. I am struggling to find a use for the small labels we attach to the mailing sacks though. I have just put some in a RFID return envelope to send back to them  :)

@lesleyb yes i haven't found a use for sack tags either. I guess they could be used as quirky gift labels at Christmas? I have some little Christmas rubber stamps so could stamp on one of those to 'festive it up'.
They'd look quite good with brown paper and parcel string or something like that.

Pop up survey re RFIDs.  One stupid question that you cannot leave out but I cannot answer - if you request an RFID return envelope how long does it take to arrive ?  I have never had to ask for an envelope but there is not that option.

That's not the only question with insufficient options to answer truthfully.
For example I recall a question about how frequently one is asked to return RFIDs where the lowest frequency was monthly.

I had a phase of that, then didn't seem to get any new ones for a while. If anyone asked I honestly couldn't say how often i return them.

Why do we sometimes get mail from businesses. The sending panellist is a business. I got one from an old people home.

Are they using kantar tns to check their deliverability of RM mailshots? I don't know how I feel about helping them with their RM bulk mail verification.

Is there a potential problem in your eyes?

I sometimes get mail from businesses.   It really doesn,t matter who the senders are.  They,re all paying customers of Royal Mail so each sender has a right to expect the same level of service.   The results of these surveys are the service benchmarks on which they are judged.
