Has anyone tried to print on the labels using a laser printer? I'd like to be able to but I'm worried about them getting stuck inside. Don't know if it's worth the risk.

I use a laser printer. Mines a cheap £60 mono laser Samsung SL-M2020w. There is a paper setting for labels you can pick, a few times I forgot to set it to labels and it printed fine as well. The paper setting probably adjusts for the thickness of paper but seems to tolerate incorrect thicknesses just fine.

I put through DL envelopes through the printer too, print directly onto the envelope no problem.

If I had a fancy £300+ printer, I might feel different, but I have no qualms about doing it with this.

    Thanks seatbeltnoob.

I too have a Samsung printer (CLP320). I got it off eBay for a bargain price of £20. It has worked well for many years, but recently the print-outs are messy with bits of toner on the paper. They are shades of blue and actually look like clouds on the paper.

it may need a new drum the metallic tube that transfer the toner onto the paper - it can malfunction and do ghosting and misprints like you describee

The samsung SL-M2020W I have uses compatible toner for £12 on ebay which lasts me 2 reams of paper. It's odd but the toner has a built in drum (doesn't use a seperate drum).

I will be using these blank labels and putting them to use. I was throwing them away up til now.

Yep.  I'm selective through - if the sheet is crumpled or edges look loose then I'll chuck it rather than take the risk.
I need to think of something new here...

It,s worth cutting out & saving the labels at the bottom of yiur sheets with yiur name & address.  They,re useful for sticking on personal parcels you may send, for putting on the back of chrisTmas card envelope to  people whose future address  may be uncertain or for sticking in spectacle cases, etc.

Have to echo this. I also keep all the original labels on the label before printing, I took them off for privacy, but having them on allows the print to grip on the paper, the sllippery backing may make it difficult for the print to grip and cause paper jams.
  • This is a great tip! I used to just throw all my labels out but won’t be doing that anymore!

I use the empty stickers as labels for freezer bags/boxes. Spare polystyrene squares are broken up in the bottom of plant pots and used in packaging for any other private parcels and rubber bands go into the drawer of doom. You can also use the reverse side of the sheets in your inward mail for printing.

I use all those folded sheets of plain white paper sent in cubes  to cut into small squares  for my shopping list & reminder notes.  It,s surprising how many of them i get through.
i,haven't yet resorted to the desperate tactics of ironing them flat so they will run without hindrance via  a printer tray
