My box of mini eggs arrived today. I think the problem is that they put them in an ordinary strong(ish) paper envelope and it's not quite strong enough to securely hold the small cardboard box. That would be my guess.
Having said that, my box and envelope was intact, so sometimes it works.0 -

A packet of late Easter Eggs perhaps? you should contact them and alert them to what's happened. There may be bigger issues in the local postal system which need further investigation.0 -
Please could someone confirm for me - can I send 1st Class Large Letter stamps to be replaced by barcoded 1st Class Large Letter stamps? I have a huge quantity to swap and I don't want to mess it up. TIA.0

Yes you can. You can swap "Like for Like" in both the ordinary first Class and the Large letter stamp groups. What you can,t swap is one type of value stamp for a different one.1

This is not survey-related but I'd like your thoughts please.
I posted a letter which passed through the slot of the Royal Mail sizing guide as a standard letter. I have the perspex official RM guide, bought from the Royal Mail - it is the same guide as the one behind the PO counter, complete with the Royal Mail logo on it.
My letter got wrongly surcharged at the destination end. It had been treated as a Large Letter. It definitely was not a LL, I have sent lots of this size without a problem. It caused embarrassment and inconvenience and I'd like to prevent it happening again. I don't want to put extra stamps on my post, just in case, as I sell low-value items on eBay and it wouldn't be worth my while as buyers wouldn't be willing to pay extra postage.
I regularly take my post to the counter for proof of posting. They sometimes check it against the sizing guide, sometimes they don't, and they often don't bother to cancel the stamp, especially if they are busy. Should I ask them to hand-cancel the stamp, to make sure the problem doesn't happen again? The staff at the PO most convenient for me are not all that obliging/friendly and I am wondering where I stand on this. Is it their job to hand-cancel a stamp for a letter they are classing as having the correct postage on it?
TIA.
