I queried this today and have had a reply saying the items could not be verified as the gps data is not showing me at the post box as I was walking away when inputting the data had no idea you actually had to stand at the post box and input the data they have now explained this and allowed me to continue on the panel while advising me of how to use the app to input data

Anywhere within 100m should pick up.  As the postbox is on the corner of the block, I can walk home, stand in my hallway and be on the wi-fi and it will still recognise the postbox and give me the GPS stars for it.

I need to think of something new here...

    So

Did they originally tell you there was a 40% requirement?
Did you use the app for at least that?
Were you connected and within range of the postbox at the time of recording?
I have been a member of the panel for a large number of years after my last rest period I was invited to take part again there was no communication at this time to state that the rules had changed and mobile verification of sent items was now required as if this had been made clear I would have declined the invite with the new posting sacks and lower incentives and having to now use a mobile the effort would not have been worth is

within about a week of sending the first test items I received the message

So we can reach our data targets for your area, we do need you to mobile verify as many of your items as possible.  If you are unable to provide any mobile verified data, we'll have to take you off the survey- and we don't want to lose you!

If you have any questions, please send us a message

At the time I was just going to contact them and say I couldn't provide mobile verification but I decided to download the app and give it a go for the last 2 weeks 4 of the 5 items sent were done via the mobile verification.

I queried this today and have had a reply saying the items could not be verified as the gps data is not showing me at the post box as I was walking away when inputting the data had no idea you actually had to stand at the post box and input the data they have now explained this and allowed me to continue on the panel while advising me of how to use the app to input data

Looks like they are making using the app mandatory and for me this is a step too far so I have advised them I am not willing to stand at an exposed post box especially in winter using a mobile phone so I am happy for them to remove me

Plus there's the fiasco of swapping over thousands of stamps I don't really need any more

I think you just need to be within 100m of the post box when recording. I always do it as I’m walking away from the post box and as far as I’m aware, if it automatically inputs the date and time, then it has locked onto the GPS signal. Very occasionally it doesn’t input the date and time and I have to do it manually but it doesn’t seem to be problematic so far for me anyway. In other words, I think if you do it in the vicinity of the post box, you should be okay, whereas waiting until you get home again wouldn’t work I don’t think.

Can you lovely peope tell me how long you waited to get your stamp swaps back?
    Thanks.
I sent three different batches off for exchange and the replacements were all received back within about 8 days.

I got a Fee to Pay card last week.  Stuck some stamps on it (I've got lots you know!) and sent it back.  Today - it arrived and it's a test item.  Small White with no stamp.  The details inside suggested it should have been franked, so maybe a machine fail and the sender didn't check/notice.

So I've notified Kantar - it's actually a drop-down in the Send Message options and I guess I'll get some stamps back....
    Got my reply today:
    Kantar said:
Thank you for contacting us. We’re sorry that you have been sent a test item with insufficient postage, and for any inconvenience caused. We can reimburse your postage costs either with 1st Class stamps or reward points. Please confirm which you prefer and we’ll get them sent out to you.

That's good. I've asked for Reward Points and they will be credited in a few weeks.

If this should happen again, please contact us before going to collect the item and we'll send you the cost in stamps upfront. If you stick the stamps to the card left by Royal Mail and put the card back in the post, Royal Mail will redeliver the item to you.
Erm... How do I know it's a test item before I've paid to get it? If it's from someone else entirely - Kantar have just given me £2 for nothing...
I got a Fee to Pay card today.

I'm in the "resting" phase so it shouldn't be a test item.  I'm tempted to get Kantar to send me the stamps anyway...

But I'm sticking a couple of Large 1st on it (I've still got more than I need) to see what arrives.  If it does turn out to be a delayed test item then Kantar can stump up some reward points for it.
Got it today...  it's a delayed test item!  Small White with no postage.  The page inside just says 2nd so I'm assuming it should have been franked.  Time to message Kantar again.
I need to think of something new here...

That's reassured me a little bit lol, I posted 3 lots (29 large and 90 & 180 1st) on the same day. Received the largest amount back a couple of days ago but nothing yet regarding the other 2.

Hopefully, they are backlogged and they haven't mislaid them.

I have requested they send me a form to swap twice but it never arrives ☹️ When I rang customer services I then received a letter asking when I had sent my stamps in 🙈
