    Message from Kantar:

"We'll be adding a new feature to the Receiver Data Entry screen on your survey account in the next few weeks. We’ll send you a further message with details of this improvement soon".

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what the new feature/improvement might be?

I think it might be reading the new QR/bar coded stamps like we do with parcels 🤔
This will be to check for some special info as part of a pilot for future use to see what info they can embed there 😉
If they embed the RM reader into the Kantar app that might be useful.  Not sure Kantar's app developers are that sophisticated.

I wonder if they are re-introducing the question about whether the stamp was cancelled?
I need to think of something new here...

Not very happy about the £7.65 coming out of my pocket
You could have used some of the unwanted Large 1st to pay for that...  as long as you explained to the PO clerk that there was part payment already on the package.
Did not think I would have been able to do that with special delivery. I do use them if I post a parcel to someone, I will ask in the post office if I ever need to use the service again. Thanks for the info.

They have received the old stamps this morning, will see how long it takes them to get the re-placements back to me.

    @NBLondon   I asked for £40 for 12 books (48 stamps) including postage.

As I said, they sold within 5 minutes and the buyer has already paid and confirmed by Ebay. Their fees were just under £5 and I used a couple of large letter stamps to pay for signed delivery.

The buyer asked whether I had more stamps to sell as he buys lots.  Although it looks like I could have charged a higher price, quite satisfied with what I made.

At that price I'd have bought them myself (despite having dozens of books already) just to relist them on eBay for about 50% more

£69.60 worth of stamps for £40

And it cost you nearly £5 in fees and £2.90 to send them?
Not sure I'd be happy with £32.10 for something literally worth more than twice as much ....

... but providing you are satisfied :)

@quoia Before listing, I checked similar items which had already sold on Ebay to see what kind of price they were bringing.  Had previously listed the stamps on Facebook marketplace for a couple of weeks, without any response.

I agree that I should probably have asked for more, but thought that as the stamps were being replaced eventually I might as well sell them.

And I would have done exactly the same but each Large Letter stamp went up in value today by 16 pence - an increase in excess of 12.4%

I'd have been happy with that sort of return; given that the stamps are something I have little other use for and haven't paid out any money for.   Maybe you can get higher prices - but balancing the risk of non-payers, time-wasters, possible re-lists if the start price is too high and the time and effort - I'd take the quicker option too.
I need to think of something new here...

Good Question...  Even though there are people here who have been on the panel for years and apparently neither use or sell on the stamps - that's a lot!

Not surprising for a collector or dealer though.  They will be busily working out whether it's better to keep and sell later or swap and use for postage.

Maybe I should look carefully at the barcoded ones I got in the last two incentives.  Will they be worth over face value at some point in the future if they are early issues?  In the same way that banknote collectors want low or unusual serial numbers; will future philatelists want certain barcode sequences?
I need to think of something new here...
