Just restarted my 6 month stint on the main survey.
Received one of those gigantic mail bags
The local post office only has a few metres of storage space (It's a local village shop). They have one postal bag ready for all 1st class and one for all 2nd class. There would barely be room to put another sack in there. And there's absolutely no way they will know how to process it (They huff and puff enough when I try to part pay my own parcels using 1st/2nd class stamps!)
I don't think it's a very wise move from Kantar in my opinion. I won't be doing the large sacks and up to them to remove me from the survey; not worth the above hassle for the 'rewards'.
Sorry for the rant4 -
I took a mail bag to my local post office and they didn't really know what to do with it and the woman kept saying, 'We don't usually take those!'2

Had one of these to take every week for the last few weeks beginning to think its not worth it for the small amount paid plus they said this would be easier it most certainly isn't the only plus side is no longer having to pay for the postage myself.5 -

£2 to sort out 2 parcels and the sack as well as a trip to the post office just isn’t worth the hassle for me; particularly when there used to be a payment per parcel.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. You're participating in a ROYAL MAIL SURVEY to determine, analyse and generate statistics regarding performance, success & failure of their services. Why would the Royal Mail NOT WANT this particular method to be included in a monitoring program or even consider REMOVING it as a service?
Indeed I'd be very surprised if it wasn't part of the law governing the Royal Mail operating licence that they must have this performance monitoring in place for everything they do as part of the OFCOM regulations.
I've done it twice so far and I'll be doing my 3rd in about a fortnight's time.
1st time ever (so no previous idea of what to do) it took about a minute - as soon as the counter staff saw me with the sack I was just told to put it in the corner where there were another 8 or 10 similar sacks piled up.
2nd time (at a different PO) I was in the post office about 20 seconds - a member of staff just took it from me and put it round the back of the counter - I'd actually followed through the door a woman with 4 of these sacks stuffed to bursting (maybe an ebay seller) so it appears to be very popular.
As for your particular PO dragonfly - it sounds as though they want the "prestige" of being a PO without actually providing and fulfilling the entire gamut it entails - and they should be ashamed of their attitude and professionalismThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93
