My old bank sent someone else's letter to me behind my own letter. So I complained as they have breached data protection act legislation, and they are sending me £75 compensation :j :j
I have also sent the letter to the correct person explaining what happened so they can put their own complaint in.

Nice one! Well done and good for you being a Good Samaritan and helping the other person to get £75 too:T. Maybe they'll get even more than £75 as it was their data being compromised.

I've been really lucky today after nothing for ages. I too have had a 20p one but then also one for two pounds and one for 1.50.

Re ebay postage charges, I always incorporate the postage fee into the price and then offer free postage, it makes no difference to costs now that ebay take commission on the postage too  and saves any ill feeling.

I wonder if your 20p study was the same as mine.Really strangely worded, especially the intro, as if it was by a non-native speaker although it was from the University of Durham if I remember correctly. It was about supermarket price rises.

Great tip about the eBay postage:T. Everyone likes to think they've got something for free, even though they've really paid for it in other ways:rotfl:

So I'm clutching at straws here! Can I use shop discount towards my target? I had £40 shop vouchers from my birthday and bought something today for £40 with 10% discount, saving me £4.00, which I got back in cash.

Yes you can. Happy belated birthday 🎂
  • Aesop do you know if any company other than TNS does UK postal surveys? I think it was Kantar that used to run them when I first started doing them but I think they joined up/were taken over/were replaced by TNS who I did them with later but was sacked by:eek:

Woohoo passed the 200 post mark :j

Thankyou to everyone who is posting. It's lovely to read your posts and share ideas.

It's also a great trigger for things we forget about, like using Amazon to sell things and recycling ink cartridges.

Another thing I do is collect used postage stamps. I still get letters with stamps. I know someone who buys the postage stamps. He resells them and takes out for his own collection.

I will post details later. I have been working with him for a few years.

Yes I think ipsos does them too. Have a look for #2 postal surveys. I listed the companies that we most use.

    Then that one abroad too.

I rarely receive letters with real stamps on any more:(. I get loads of post but it's mainly business post with machine stamping on.

I know about the foreign ones, I've done the Quotas one for ages. It was a UK one I was interested in to make up for the loss of the TNS survey. Will check Ipsos in a mo. Thanks:T

Me too.. I liked looking at the pictures on the stamps, but now it is just cards and postcards that I get them on. I even remember steaming them off to save them in an album as a child.. absolutely no idea what happened to that!

No real progress for me today.. done a couple of surveys and waiting for confirmation of my regular saver interest still. Got end of the week fatigue/blues and needed a break today. Back to it Monday after hopefully a bit of a break this weekend!
