I'm flushed with success as I've just had the confirmation that my submission for my latest PA study has been accepted, all 20p of it:rotfl:. Only took a couple of minutes though. I'm miles away from a payout on there at the moment so not adding the 20p to my total until I get it. Is anyone else being accepted for studies on there at the moment or is it just me that's ineligible for what few there are:(? Even 20p seems great in the circumstances;)0

Posted my eBay items this morning. I had charged £2.90 each for p&p . However two of the items I was able to put in large envelopes...costing 76p each to post instead if yhe £2.90.
I've therefore saved/earned £4.28 :j
Total for the month so far £27.28/£93
be careful of this. I have many years ago had someone leave me bad feedback for overcharging on postage and it cost me less. I know you can say it is p and p, ie the envelope you purchased specially to post including the stamp.
Now if I get to PO and find postage is less than I charged, I message the buyer and tell them. then refund the difference. Keeps my ratings up and they cant complain to ebay0 -

Great point, Aesop:T. Was going to say the same sort of thing but you beat me to it.
I haven't had any problem as a seller (touch wood) but as a buyer I'm always very angry when I've paid postage and the item's only cost a fraction of that to post. Sometimes the sender has used recycled jiffy envelopes etc so packaging materials would have cost them nothing:eek:. I've never left bad feedback because of it, neutral at worst, if the item was otherwise good and arrived quickly but maybe I should have done.
I forked out for some reliable postal scales when I was doing a lot of selling as my kitchen scales were not accurate for small weights. Now I never have many nasty surprises at the Post Office as I can work out postage pretty accurately before listing.0 -

I've been stung a few times on postage when listing, I will put a lower price based on other listings, get to post office and it costs more! But then I have swallowed the postage costs and the buyer gets a bargain lol.
a buyer laughed when I messaged her saying overcharged but i am going to refund you as post office charged me less, but she took the money.0 -
Well I've took your advice. Fearful of a bad review affecting my impeccable eBay rating. 2 refunds duly issued.

I used to feel sorry for people who bought books from me on Amazon and had to pay the £2.80 fixed postage fee when the 'book' was nothing more than a pamphlet and went as a Large Letter for less than £1 in a regular large brown envelope that I had boxes of anyway and that I had very little use for. I sometimes enclosed a little note with a 1st class stamp attached as a 'refund', not that it covered the total difference but I had to pay seller's fees after all. This was back in the day when I had loads of free Ist Class stamps from postal surveys. Cost me nothing but did wonders for my feedback:rotfl:0 -
