Thanks everyone, thought about the Denby and checked elsewhere. The club deal isn't that good actually. Probably should just use them on food.Played in the garden today in the sunshine. Trays and pots ready to plant out the tomatoes. Sweet peas hardened off ready to plant out.
I also tidied the fridge and used the wrinkled aubergines to make Delias Tunisian salad. Basil and mint plants on the kitchen window ledge for the cat to ruin. Mint should be impossible to kill but someone has managed to exit last summers big pot so this will be hardened off and potted out too. Love the smell of basil. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

It's more complicated than it should be. We don't go anywhere to use 'experience' or hotel/cottage vouchers this year as poor planning by me means no house sitter, auto aid costs the same in cash and covers the motorcycles without extra charge and have never let me down so I'm loyal. I read the magazines for free via my library card. I have used them towards the £3.99 monthly delivery fees at £1 and credit the change up until now but his month the transaction has failed and it's now worth a second phone call given the value I place on my time. I have £125 and already at £20 towards next quarter. It's a nice problem to have. I could do the classic white porcelain denby and leave it boxed till the point some time in the future, or free tins of beans. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I should add that a few years ago I decided that I wasn't spending gardening or reading time at the weekend during my few leisure hours food shopping, and I signed up to £4 a month of midweek MrT, which turned out to be a good decision when lockdown kicked in.Prior to this I mostly got shameful amounts of co-op dividends. And spent half of a weekend morning in Liddell. It also means less impulse buys, no fuel to drive to the big town (15 minutes each way) and no random middle purchases of diving suits etcMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Reading the weekly email and muttering about the pension stuff. Must check it out as I think I will be a few years short if I stop early as planned. And then I feel guilty about being able to even worry about extra contributions when others are struggling to feed their families.I could start a new diary on mortgage free but even there, thanks to his younger self paying into pensions which produced lump sums, we are mortgage neutral.
It's not that long since we had maxed out every card and couldn't eat. I don't know where we fit but I have always felt welcome here. Something to think about.
I mean, can I even think of a new Hex related quote with syntax so I can spot it easily in a list?
If I stop 'touching wood' by posting here will the 'luck' stop?My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

There’s a few of us having similar concerns about where we “belong” on MSE at the moment I think. I’ve always felt most at home here - even when I did have a diary on MFW it was mostly DFW’ers who posted on it I think, so that was why it worked ok for me, but obviously I don’t fit there now either. I said a while ago that I’d just stay on here until someone said I couldn’t- but it must be said I do worry sometimes that my situation is SO far from the struggles that so many on here have day to day I worried that it was inappropriate me being here. In the grand scheme of things though it’s a very “first world problem” isn’t it!I’ve got £7 of CC vouchers expiring at the end of the month and right now haven’t got the vaguest idea what to do with them. I looked through the various options the other night - I could go for Hotels dot com conversion, or failing that the restaurant that does the very fast pizzas, but….yes, not sure.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I honestly wouldn't worry about it EH, There are hundreds of diary's on here, and nobody forces anyone to read/follow any particular one. I can't imagine anyone taking umbridge... and if they did nobody is forcing them to read it!
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I’m another that doesn’t quite fit, as I cleared the debts (excluding mortgage) and now stumble around trying to save up. But I love all the people on my diary and enjoy chatting to all of them, so will continue while I can. We are all at different stages, but everyone here is so kind and supportive of everyone else 🙂Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
