  • Funnily enough moving_forward the eldest just re-appeared for thirds.  I like it, well worth the money on a silly offer.  I was rubbish at the planning involved in slow cooker, and hated leaving anything electric on in our shoddily wired house when I was at work.  The instant pot is great for 'whoops I forgot' stuff which suits me.

I really must remember to log on to my current work pension. And also bite the bullet to sit down and consolidate a. what's in H&L and Aviva and b. consolidate the funds within them. I have FAR too many, but as they're all performing well it's hard to decide what to drop. However, i'm aware that it is probably costing me in management fees.
  • Wow well done to Mr Redo on taking early retirement. What are the boys doing now they've finished education? (Sorry I too have missed a few pages). It's all change in your household.

I hope 2022 brings good things.

I don't know much about Tilly, but my Mum taught me to tidy up the odds and sods long before I was on MSE (2004 for my original account I think).  It has saved our sausages a few times over the years.  Secret squirrel odds and sods emergency savings account to the rescue.

Tonight I made a chicken/sweetcorn and fridge scraping soup in the instant pot.  It merited seconds from the critical audience.
Strong stock, chopped up 'stuff' and a sprinkle of herbs/sweetcorn and ten minutes of high pressure/slow release.  A few ladles into the blender, whizz and back in, repeat till you get to your preferred thickness.
    Ah THAT's who you are!

This made me laugh - there are so many folk on here with new accounts since the forum changed over it can be quite fun joining the dots can't it!

Great results from 2021 Redo - and some good plans in place for 2022 as well - I particularly like the one to move the renovation project forward at least a bit each month - I think we may need to adopt that one over here.  Much as getting into another "project" scares me, I will much prefer it once it is done - so time to start some proper thinking/planning I reckon...
