Ha! Finally caught up with you!:D
The lemon puddings sound lush (and easy).
I do hope the cats won't go off the food like greenbee says now that you've bought 480 pouches!
Congrats on getting the cleaning done via short bursts. It's so much easier doing it like that. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Good to see you back Seaside
Happily the cats have not gone off the food yet, and cat thief neighbours are about to go on holiday so we will no doubt be feeding extras
I am on that 'flat' thing on return from an enjoyable holiday and I need to snap out of it. Haven't stopped since I got back with house stuff. Did get it clear and tidy before I went, it's still tidy but it needs cleaning again. 3 more loads of washing to do as well, bedding and sheets. Might have to crack and use TD as it rains heavily for 5 minutes every hour.
The front porch decided to spring a fairly major leak in the big storm just before we went away. Had hoped it was a one off but its now filling with water every time it rains, dehumidifier is doing overtime. Joys of an older house I guess. Will need to trim the wisteria before we can even work out what is wrong and identify a short and long term fix.
Small OP on the mortgage took us to the next round 10k Interest is now consistently under £300, even in the 31 day months which is a good result.
Missed the two year anniversary of my diary while I was away. Basically the debts are cleared, with the exception of the mortgage. I probably should move to mortgage free wannabees but I like it here :cool:My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Did an interim trim of the runners from the wisteria last night, but didn't brave the ladder and clamber up the porch. Its brick built with a tile roof so we suspect that either the flashing has gone, or the roof timbers are rotten. It certainly needs re-pointing so the wisteria will have to have a major haircut.
Fritter of the day was a water filter jug. We are really noticing the nasty taste of the tap water now so has just been drinking bottled. It should pay for itself quite quickly. It'll be good for me anyway, I tend to forget about hot drinks when I am working. Everything I like contains caffeine or alcohol.
I've been experimenting with no gluten at all since the last blood test, and it certainly reduces my symptoms which is great. In the absence of any firm diagnosis, anything that helps is good.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

My tap water is vile, even the filter can be dodgy, so I now keep two bottles of filtered water in the fridge at all times and that's helped to cut down on bottled water consumption considerably.
Any news on your blood test results and next appointment to get closer to a diagnosis?0 -
I used to be a bottled water addict but now I use a filter and I have got used to it. I'm still partial to fizzy continental water but they are an occasional treatIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Happy belated anniversary! Don't move - stay here! I like it too! Technically as I've shifted the debt I shouldn't have a diary on this board, but I'm staying till I'm evicted!:D
I found the water in my flat tasted odd when I moved in a few years ago. I bought bottled still at first but have had a water filter jug for some time now. It's probably saved me quite a bit over the years. I still drink fizzy water though instead of fizzy flavoured drinks.
Glad to hear that going gluten free seems to be working for you. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

That's rather spooky inod. My Nan always used to keep a tin of Andrew's liver salts handy. I remember tasting it as a child and quite liking it.......:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I quite like the 4 x 2l sparkling water for 99p in Aldee, but I know what you mean about tasting like liver salts INOD. I tried those for my stomach problems but the horror of choking it down outweighed any benefits.
A rare fit of cooking today. GF banana pancakes this morning which came out stodgy, seems to be a recurring theme for GF baking. I made veggie scotch eggs for OH which went down well. Essentially hard boiled eggs, wrapped with mashed up defrosted veggie sausage, dipped on beaten egg and then breadcrumbs and then in the oven for 15 minutes at 180. I still want some nice cake, and had a pack of very reduced chestnut puree to use up so I cobbled together some GF brownies using 6oz choc, 4oz butter, 6oz sugar, 200g unsweetened pur!e, 6oz GF flour and a teaspoon of baking powder, and 3 eggs. 20 minutes at 170. Added some chopped walnuts and the rest of the chocolate cut into chunks. Nice and soggy, will see what they are like in the morning.
I also made chicken kebab meat with some boneless thighs from the freezer, which we had with salad, wedges and a garlic onion dip. Lovely sweet carrots from MrM. It says something when the teenagers come back for seconds on the carrot sticks. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
