Well I set off about 10ish, got about 1/4 of a mile. Heard a crunch and a groaning. Pulled up and my tyre was completely flat. Then I groaned. Lol.

Couldn't get the cover off the wheel to remove the locking nut type things. Called dad to get rescued. Lol. Spent next hour and a half finding and waiting for new tyres (the other back one needed replacing also).

Eventually got to shopping, visited mum and new bairn (he's a little dot!) and came home at 3 in the pouring rain and thunder.

So I haven't done any cleaning.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :rotfl:
Expensive day, going out for tea later, too!

Think the only MAD I'm going to manage to today is unpacking my MF delivery and playing freezer Tetris. I am knackered.

Work is really challenging, but I think I am adding value - I learnt something really useful over the weekend that I need to pass on to people. Potentially hours of work saved. Yay.

I'm also having a rethink about the career change idea. I really do enjoy what I do - its the environment that makes all the difference. I'm really hoping they want to keep me.

Piggers:eek: How the heck did Squeak get to be that old? That would make me. OMG. I don't want to think about it:rotfl:

    aaargh

DD texted to say she was on the train...then nothing...
Have tried texting her friend, text wont send.

Do they really not get it? All I want is to know she is safe. I asked her to let me know when she got to her friend's. She hasn't. Have messaged friend on facebook but I am not a friend of hers so it will not be visible.

    ETA text received. And breathe...

    Zumba am.
    Private student to assess pm.
MAD with Mr N to a corner of the garden.
Spent ages on tablet looking for routes for a friend to come and visit as apparently trains from the south-west are being worked on throughout August and station staff advice is don't travel!
That's about it for now really. About to do dinner then hopefully start writing up that assessment.

Have heard Polly (after you posted) so have updated my post. She has been reminded that (a) I have seen Taken and (b) That I don't have Liam Nesson's 'particular set of skills'.

Have made blackcurrant jam. 'Tis lush.

    I have moved all her uni gibble into her room - I have S P A C E (for a week lol)

Slightly stunned. Got called into the GPs, found out I'm being referred to some other Rheumatology professor and, whilst they're at it, here's a prescription for more painkillers and as I've had a lymph node on my neck raised since April, they're sending me for a scan on it. All in only ten minutes' wait and then five minutes' of appointment. This is a surgery where I've waited three hours for an appointment before now and 45 minutes is the minimum normal time. Maybe everybody's left the practice?

Fingers crossed it isn't anything Jo..
Regarding Dr's..it wasn't my old practice was it? Our Dr just upped and left due to not being happy with how things were being run. Since then the surgery has gone downhill - there are no permanent Dr's. Some times you can't even get a prescription etc.. And waiting for a Dr's appt was ridiculous. Thankfully I'm now in our local village surgery which is fantastic. It's like a real surgery, they know you by name and you have a designated Dr - plus a Dr each day of the week. Oh and if you ring for an appointment at 8.30 you get one for that day...Shock horror!!!

Haven't flown today I'm afraid. I decided to have a "sod it" day as tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Hospital appointments for Dave - designated driver here :D And then off to my weekly stitching evening at a friends house.

Dave is still struggling, he keeps getting these horrendous shakes several times a day. Think that's the chemo. I noticed his skin looks more mottled today rather than completely red. He's still exhausted and I notice he is having several power naps between doing his work from home.

    Hope everyone is okay...Hugs xx

    Hugs Natty. Thinking of you.

Not a good restart here as both yesterday and today was filled with appointments in different towns so lots of being driven around by Mr P.

We invited friends round for dinner who we haven't seen in years so all my spoons were well and truly used up. But, a wonderful, happy, relaxed evening for me, and hopefully everyone else too.

Mr P and I haven't discussed jobs around the house yet... But thank you for all the ideas about how to divvy things out.

I did some paperwork collating to go to the accountant as no one else is going to do it. At least I can cross something off the list.

More (((hugs))) to Natty and Dave.
Glad you had a lovely evening, Poohbear.
More ice cream, Kaz? This is getting to be a habit!

Today has been horrendously expensive with a visit to the vet and an hour with the dog trainer for Rosie, 3 online shops and all but one of the monthly bills paid.

I have done WM x3 and made up beds for DGS1.+2''.
Must get to sleep - need to catch the 6:18 train!

ETA I got up at 05:20, have degunged the bathroom basin plughole, made a cuppa for DH, walked the dog, packed my books and breakfast, got a parking space right by the station entrance, and am now flying to London :D Bacon sarnies at the terminus with DGS1+2, then home again. Plan for this afternoon is to water the hens and then go fossil hunting "up the Wrenner" as they say in these parts - hoping to find a trilobite. Tomorrow we shall be on the trail of a mammoth not far from Dizzy :D
