Hope today is a good day for Dave Natty and Jojo hope your news is good.

Took Dad to hospital yesterday. It seems that his enlarged lymph nodes are to do with "surgery trauma" rather than anything more sinister so its on with plans for the radiotherapy. Home in time to do an hours work before my gym class so all good.

Kitchen and utility floors swept and mopped last night as they were grubby. DH washed up as the dishwasher has died. House looking reasonably OK.

Paid stuff 1, then hairdresser, then paid stuff 2 today. Think DS1 is taking DS2 to a friends before he goes to work, I heard them making plans last night.

Off to dust the LR and tidy in there before I get ready for work. Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Morning all! Was planning a trip to Powys Castle today with friends but it's pouring down, so soft play it is instead :o So much for trying to save money...

Ooh Iona - where's the mammoth hunt? That sounds like fun!

Continued hugs for Natty and Dave. You are both amazing, strong people x

Glad to hear your Dad's lumps weren't too serious YL.

Poohbear - we have 'pink' jobs and 'blue' jobs in our house. Although, thinking about it, there seem to be loads more pink than blue....

Kitchen is progressing nicely. The room looks much smaller now the cupboards are in. I suppose I'm used to seeing bare walls. Poor DH was soda-blasting beams in the lounge until 10pm last night. Granite templating team arrive tomorrow, so kitchen is nearly there!!!!! :j

Zippo flying done. Oh, did an hour of ironing and cleaned the hob in the caravan yesterday.

Hugs to all xxx apologies if I've forgotten to comment x

Morning all. Hope you're all ok and that Iona finds the mammoth.

All dailies done here. About to clean the downstairs loo and if there's time before the paid stuff I'll try to do something from today's list.

    Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. Drizzly and windy so no washing today, luckily I got a lot dried yesterday. I've already done the bedrooms this week but I've just cleaned the bathroom/toilet. When the floors are dry I can put some stuff away.

A bit of babysitting to do this morning, only for an hour, then not much else planned.

    Hello

My eyes feel a bit fuzzy today, perhaps too late to bed last night. But I'm not going anywhere today, rain rain rain. Hope it will brighten up next week.

This morning I've watched a film, ordered some groceries for before the kiddies come home (nearly £90  but the cupboards and fridge are almost bare this week), collected all dry laundry, washed my bathrobe which I'd soaked yesterday (lovely and white again), and loaded the DW. I wasn't really going to use it as I'm mostly eating salad out of the boxes so it's just mugs etc but I'm lazy and running out of cups :rotfl:

Next stop is LR - bedrooms are all done here so I'll just de-dust in here. I ca see grot under the sofas :o

Also want to list some sellables on the local FB page... In fact I'm going to message one of the school mums who was after a bike...

DD texted to say she was on the train...then nothing...
Have tried texting her friend, text wont send.

Do they really not get it? All I want is to know she is safe. I asked her to let me know when she got to her friend's. She hasn't. Have messaged friend on facebook but I am not a friend of hers so it will not be visible.

    ETA text received. And breathe...
Valli don't forget that occasionally texts get "stuck in the system" and don't actually arrive til some time after they've been sent.
Glad DD is safely where she's meant to be in any case. :o

We made 20 jars of St Clements Marmalade (orange & lemon) yesterday.
Today I started making labels for them and had to take a half-hour time-out from that to sort out a recalcitrant printer  but finally got them done.
Also printed out four (yes FOUR) birthday cards - one each for Mr LW's three nephews and one for his cousin. So that's all this year's birthdays sorted and I can concentrate on Yule cards for a bit.

Mr LW has been tasked with taking all the stuff off the top of the wardrobe and dusting up there; it's all useful stuff - wool stash, candle-making stuff, box containing my two sunhats, box for the floor fan to live in during the winter, my sewing machine, all stuff like that.

Ooh - I forgot, yesterday morning we took a boxful of turfed out clothes that I'll never wear again to the chazzer *FLING* - also popped into Wyrdo's for some incense sticks as we're running low; thought we might as well do it while we were in Newport Pagnell, saves another journey later. :o
