Am sitting in parents' house as decorator is here and Dad has a hospital appt. in the Steel City. Why decorator couldn't be left alone I don't know. But they are getting older and it's beginning to show. This is another manifestation I think, of increasing dependence.:o

TattyG welcome. Anyone who helps to run dog rescue is Good People in my book. ;)

Valli I wouldn't want to leave a decorator or anyone else in my house with no-one else there; but I admit I do have trust issues.

Piggers it sounds to me like they're trying to wear you down - hoping you'll eventually get fed up with repeating yourself and give in just for a bit of peace.

    Hoppy Birdday to Mr Narc0.

how does one bathe a piggie? Is it anything like as messy as bathing a border terrier (strip down to your skivvies before you start because you will end up soaked).

The bungalow is in reasonable shape; kitchen was cleaned yesterday and the bathroom only needed a S&S this morning (it gets blitzed every weekend; for whatever reason we've stuck with doing it at weekends even though Mr LW is retired now); we're devising strategies for dealing with Fudge who will be arriving for a week's holiday tomorrow.
The little chap doesn't like men (he was maltreated by one in his first home) so Mr LW is going to keep a low profile and let me do everything for Fudge; hopefully give it a day or so Fudge will realise Mr LW isn't a threat.:o

    Lol Piggers

Back from mum's, dinner scoffed (SW - we will gloss over what I ate yesterday *blush* and drank *blush even deeper*) and salad (kachumber) prepped for tea, to go with leftover Sweet Potato Curry.
Washing pegged out (am, obviously, an optimist) and DW emptied.
LW this decorator (professional) is also their next-but-one neighbour so would have assumed he could be left but hey ho. Mum says it wasn't her...it was dad who was worrying.

EHIC cards have arrived. Obviously DD's had to go without it, but we only ordered them Saturday and I can email a scan of it if necessary. Forgot they ran out this year, or CBA.

Fridge sorted, lunch had, sweet little decal put on wall at top of stairs - one of those dandelion ones. Looks better than expected.

May have sold DS heelies- lady has asked when she can collect so that's a tad more space on the shelf and a tad more ££ in my purse! He still is in debt to me with the new bike, lol

Haha I put an inch or so of warm water in a cat litter tray and plonked him in. Had to hold him as he tried to jump out. He wasn't fully submerged it was just his ahem undercarriage that needed attention :rotfl: then I wrapped him in a small towel on my knee while he chattered his teeth at me in disapproval :D he's still giving me the evil eye this morning lol

Having a brew then I might head back to kids rooms...

Signature updated. Am now focussing on the smaller debt (also a 0% card) as that deal runs out first. But I can't find the details to increase DD/make payments so have messaged them to ask. If I keep up the overpayments this should be gone by the end of October! WOOTY WOOTY WOOT WOOT.

Pots washed. Sis (also on SW but much less to lose than yours truly) has sent me some size 14 trousers! Woot. One pair is a size 12 - possibly they're a large size 12 but if I get in them you will all need earplugs!

So.. they eventually get the hint (not before it was bawled at 1000Db) and go outside... so the rain starts... so they had to come in...

They had lunch and are not running amok, I *think* it is singing they are doing

And .. 'WE DO NOT PLAY WITH OUR BALLS IN THE HOUSE!!!*

Aww, bless him. It must be more comfortable with a clean undercarriage, I'd have thought. :o

Mr LW has gone to have his lung function test - hopefully after that we can get to the bottom of why he's had that wretched cough for 10 months.
