Not really sure why I'm checking in tbh. I've done diddly squat for at least 4 hours... Video chat with kids. DS covered in spots. Humidity, heat and an oily sunscreen. Not the one I use for them. Poor DS.

Going to motivate myself for a last blast before I find a movie or something...

Deforesting nasty invasive alien trees again today. Oh, and causing the entire group to fall silent when one male tried to show off and pour me my coffee (it's not hard, 1. crouch down to coffee pot & pour black coffee in cup, 2. get up holding cup of hot coffee 3. walk away - so I don't need any help). Whilst fussing over the top of my head, he kicked over the open fire can, then went to pick up the can and embers with his bare hands whilst still holding a steaming cup of tea.

You all know That Voice, don't you? The one that teachers, parents and dog owners have that comes from deep within the bowels of the Earth, causes everything in earshot to freeze and is generally accompanied by an arm shooting out faster than a Triffid's stinger to prevent child/dog from eviscerating itself or others?

Yeah, that voice. I have it.

'DON'T' (with extreme emphasis upon the D and 'T), plus the Arm of Destiny across his arm/chest stopped him from setting fire to himself/burning his hand/chucking the hot can of embers and his tea all over my head before he'd even moved more than 2 inches towards it.

All the male participants left me alone all day to get on with massacring saplings undisturbed afterwards, except the group leader, who just laughed at me, as I'd already mentioned that I channel my grandmother's incredibly posh voice when I'm annoyed.


When I have a nice long bath later, I shall give the sink a quick wipe, as it still looks pretty pristine in there.

Done very little today had 3 friends and DD1 over today...and 8 extra children:eek:,(Ages range from 10 to 6 months)
To be fair it only took an hour to tidy up when they left:)

I did clean bathroom before they arrived and all LOs room when they had gone.

Praying for some decent weather tomorrow ...really need to get some laundry done...looking like Mt Washmore here..Airer just isnt cutting it x

Well done Valli and I hope Mrs MP is now less itchy.

I have an unexpected day off the paid stuff today so the current plan is to take the dogs to the seaside. However DH was poorly in the night so I'll see how he feels when he gets up.

Morning All

Sorry for being a bit AWOL, we have been having a "staycation" this week so lots of days out. Today is going to be a pottering one, but with breakfast out at the local M&S cafe first

I have managed to keep on top of the house though and the WM has just finished so will hang that out in a mo.

Will be back properly next week, in the meantime big hugs all round and Dizzy can we have pics please of your kitchen? xx

My head is so itchy, it is driving me crazy.. I just washed & flea combed myself it was *that* itchy.. not a single thing of course but I'm still scratting.. what are the odds I have eczema on the one body part I cannot slop moisturiser on?! Twinkles eczema is having a flare up, thankfully not on her eyelids this time, just her scalp and back.

One extra child so far today.. She got Squeak one of those ridiculous huge Jojo bows for her birthday.. How the h3ll has she got to 7 already??? There should be a law against children growing up so fast!
