Been out this morning, in the drizzle, with my friend to Rowsley, drove home past the Devonshire's home;) Bought new top from the Hospice shop.

Now sunny and windy. Perfect. Washing on line. Boom. DW emptied.

Uniform and lego sorted. Gibble rehomed. It's quite nice here today. I may even get the grass cut tomorrow if it stays dry.

I wonder if I can be bothered to get the spare table and chairs out to photograph for selling... I should really.

I have a box of bits for dd birthday I need to hide. So my cupboard needs sorting too I suppose.

Ouch Mrs MP hope the needle did the job xx

Well done Valli :T What's your secret? I eat next to nowt and still remain a stone overweight.

Nowt done today really - my tinnitus is really bad today; seems like it's going at about 200 decibels :( which makes it very hard to concentrate properly on anything.

However, Fudge has arrived, and thankfully is being a Very Good Boy. We thought he'd go bananas when he saw Mr LW such is his dislike of men, but no, not a peep out of him; Mr LW is currently SOADFA (well he's watching Lord of the Rings yet again) and Fudge is lying quietly on the green chair adjacent to the sofa. :o

Afternoon all. I have been looking at the house today and it looks and feels lovely and makes me feel calm and happy. For me doing a full dust and vac through on a Monday then the things on the daily lists has helped enormously. I don't have kids at home any more so it's easier now than it used to be but I struggle for motivation when it's just for me which is mad ;)

Pineapple jellies x 8 pots made up with tinned pineapple in juice and in the fridge for snacks/puddings. Washing, drying and ironing all up to date and a batch of bolognese sauce and anchilli cooked and portioned up in the freezer for future meals. I have even changed the fish tank water and made my sandwiches for work this weekend.

Hope everyone is good and you guys are awesome :):)

I had it when i was about 11 and my dad treated me like a leper for about 3 months.. I wasn't even allowed to use the same cutlery as everyone else.. He isn't a very nice man and I haven't spoken to him for 12 years now.

Evening :)Pigpen, one of my granddaughters had this when she was about 9 months old and she was very poorly for a few days.

I meant to post earlier and then forgot! Did two loads of washing today, had loads to catch up on with the horrid weather. It then rained all morning and I ended up spinning it all again, but the afternoon was lovely and it's all dry now and put away.

Not much else done, it's our wedding anniversary today (45 years!!) and we went out for a longish walk this morning and ended up at Waitrose for a free cup of tea/coffee and shared a cheese scone. We still know how to live ;)

    Hello :)

Still here - day 2! lol I now have a clean toilet room, bathroom and bedroom - that's progress!

Day off from rescue work today to focus on home and family. It's eldest DS 16th birthday today but he's away with NCS so we took youngest DD out for the day instead :)

PP - DD had hand, foot and mouth but only got sores on her hands and feet. Wasn't allowed in school either!

My mother couldn't tell the difference between Foot and Mouth and Hand, Foot and Mouth either. It meant I missed out on loads of trips with the school/Brownies that year - I think I was 8 and very upset I didn't get to go camping with everybody else. Especially when I just had a couple of blisters on my hand and it only lasts about 7-10 days in total, so I would have been fine about 2 months before the first trip.

It's about 5 years for me.

And it might very well be used as dog shampoo - it's the same stuff - and it works.

Mind you, I use horse shampoo the rest of the time as a matter of course - and my granddad used to use horse cream on his hands (he was a stable lad). His skin and nails were amazing, even when he was in his 80s.

Ergh. Himself is recording some traditional folk songs and wants me to play on one of them. Fine. Except he is looking at rubbish/inaccurate versions online because they're published so have to be 'right' and is insisting on recording to a click track separately for every instrument. So making it a very clinical recording. I hate that; for a start, I know these tunes and they aren't 100% perfect - the whole point is that they have life in them, little pushes and hangs to give them feeling, and no monotonous click track/digital drum beat - I've even got a Bodhran downstairs, but he's selecting boring digital kick tones because 'I want to control everything'. WHY ARE YOU RECORDING FOLK TUNES IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT?

We never argue any other time. But musically, I detest working with him. He doesn't relax and go with the feel. He doesn't accept that they were based upon dancing or singing, not sodding electronic tracks of digital perfection, so doesn't understand why things hang or are behind/ahead of the beat - and as for the anacruses (pick up phrases), you might as well give up for about three months before he's decided exactly what part of the thing they start from.

!!!!!!. They're in existence purely for the joy of getting drunk and singing and dancing. The instruments are secondary to the feel, the words, the rhythm. Just go with it and stop trying to sterilise everything - do that to the sink, not the music.

    Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
