Happy holidays to Valli's DD!
Happy birthday to ATB's DD!
I hope the kitchen looks fab, Dizzy!
Three loads of washing out on the lines, injured baby seagull back in the garden squawking for food which is irritating an explosive neighbour (oops), two hours tidying and sorting done (why does it take so long?) and all's well with the world except for Devil Cat who is a bit subdued today. We're hoping it's temporary and he'll perk up later after a good sleep.Better is good enough.0 -

Happy birthday to your DD, ATB. Have a lovely day out.
I decided that this morning was Save The Allotment morning, as long as it wasn't pouring. I did a wash, hung it out, then set off just after 9. I obviously outstayed my welcome, as I could take being rain showered on twice, but drew the line at the hail. Just back in, finished the breakfast that I abandoned, and WM running again - muddy clothes! Oh and I have a line of wet washing, but it is now glorious sunshine.
This afternoon I am going to have a go at the lists, and try reeeaaaallllly hard not to get distracted. This is such a novelty for me to be at home alone during the week that I am liable to find a zillion things to do and actually do nothing. Off to get the vacuum cleaner out of its hole...0 -

And you've been saying that about the Piggers Homestead since before then....
[runs away]
Stairs are always clear.
Never have 'stuff' on the landing. Mainly because we wouldn't be able to get into any of the rooms if there was.
'Hall' always clear (it's the bit by the front door with a tiny partition wall of about 3 foot long opening into the house).
Slightly stunned. Got called into the GPs, found out I'm being referred to some other Rheumatology professor and, whilst they're at it, here's a prescription for more painkillers and as I've had a lymph node on my neck raised since April, they're sending me for a scan on it. All in only ten minutes' wait and then five minutes' of appointment. This is a surgery where I've waited three hours for an appointment before now and 45 minutes is the minimum normal time. Maybe everybody's left the practice?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Afternoon all, couldn't post this morning as we had no internet but luckily it reappeared by itself. Been out for the day with DD2 and DGD4 to Slimbridge. Lovely weather until just as we drove back into the street when it started to rain but we managed to grab the washing in. Sunshine again now.
Not much else done as I did so much yesterday!0 -
JoJo Hope things sort themselves out for you.
Lists all done and a bit of ironing too
I have had a nice pampering shower and shaved, scrubbed and moisturised, painted my nails and am feeling lovely
Heavens opened here too with a terrific storm about 2 hours ago and is now sunny again. So much for the promised heatwave :rotfl:0 -
Hmmm - well I've managed to get sunburned today - quite badly - on just one arm!:rotfl:
Gorgeous day here - and absolutely no flying done so far as a result - went out with small 2 and some other mum friends and their offspring to local playpark, with picnic lunch - kids had a fab time, and it was nice to have some mum chatCame back (feeling slightly bleurgh from too much sun) (kids were fine) - all had lots to drink (took loads with us but weather went from mild to scorchio whilst we were there!) and flopped for a short while before agreeing to play card games with smalls. My mum arrived whilst we were just setting up, so she joined in, stayed for a cuppa - and has now taken small 2 out for a dog walk :T
I'm feeling brighter, so will get washing in ready to iron later. Will also attempt MAD later and maybe dusting in the living room. Rest will wait - a day out playing was far more worthwhile whilst the weather was gorgeous
