Thanks for lists - I'm vaguely in, busy week on the paid thing so not a huge amount of time.

Mrs MP - I'd be be proud of him too, I hope my sons would do the same when they are a little bit older. The reports looked awful.

    Evening All!

Did well last night and this morning and had an instant treat for all my hard work as I was meeting DD for lunch with my Mum :D

Home now and having a cuppa and will watch Game of Thrones then shower and put my jammies on for the evening. Still full from lunch so tea will be some toast or cereal later on.

YL How did your son get on on his first day at work?

MrsMP Good lad!! My elder son has performed similar chivalrous acts before and it always makes me feel so proud and glad that they have actually listened to me over the years :)

If he was planning on anything smutty with her jo he wouldn't have even told me he was with a girl. She had made her way up there on her own got left by a bus she'd paid to go on and he shared a taxi with her so he did feel a bit responsible. 60 people have reported to the police that their tents were robbed, girls were woken by strangers rifling through their stuff and that was when the camp site was crowded. If there were just a few tents dotted about in different areas it would have been easy picking for anyone to rob or worse as it was made public a few people couldn't get away so we're staying till the buses this morning. He's just done what he felt was the right thing but maybe I did the wrong thing mentioning it on here.

Going to start on the bit of ironing I have now

Aww, I didn't mean it maliciously - a pretty girl and a potentially dodgy situation is a natural thing for a lad to want to help with. It's sweet - and it's how quite a few friends have ended up in longterm relationships.

Anyhow, have cleaned and polished the dressing table. We actually need some more beeswax polish - I've had the one pot for years and I've finally used it up.

Emptied the bathroom bin and s&s the room as well.

OH attempted something in the kitchen and then went off to do some financial paperwork.

He sounds like a keeper, your DS Mrs MP.

Shower room sparkly, superking turned around ready for tomorrow's arrivals, Kelpie flown at the groomers and supper's in the oven. And OH did the hob - unasked! Wow! (He's feeling guilty about something.)
    Better is good enough.

    Hi all

Thanks for the kind words all, DS had a great day. He has gone to play cricket though. I am trying hard not to lecture him about not resting and eating properly. Plated him up some roast dinner for when he gets in.

MrsMP my DS showed me a lovely text he got the other day. He had been out with a group of friends and one girl had got a bit too drunk, she sent DS a text saying thanks for looking after me and making sure I got home safely. They can make you proud sometimes!

Hope you are enjoying a bit of child free time Bossy! And Pigpen hope the migraine is gone soon.

Both lots of paid stuff done, been to the gym, roast dinner made. Kitchen jobs that still need doing are (1) the windows, (2) the oven and (3) the fireplace around the woodburner which seems to be attracting a lot of dust. None of these jobs are very appealing. Might just give myself half and hour then feet up.

    How's the kitchen going Dizzy?
Well done with the tax return LW

It sounds like there is definitely a feel of change in the Flylady world. This weekend we put in application forms and CVs for camp courier jobs next year, hopeful it will proceed and be Spain. Had a mail back today, asking for some more details, and said to contact them again end of September when they start the applications for next year. So fingers xd eh.

    Dailies done
Dusted all through top to bottom
    Bathroom S&Sd
Kitchen WUDUPA, bunkers and hobs all wiped over

MAD - this week I'm going to sort all the storage areas, clean, chuck if appropriate and reorganise. So today I pulled out the bottom of tall cupboard and everything in the 'storage corner' of the spare room - now looks like a bomb's hit it :rotfl:

Hope you all have a super Tuesday

    Evening all,

Dizzy, I am beyond jealous! Hope the kitchen is going well.
Bossy, I'm worn out just reading how much you've got done.
YL, glad your DS got on OK.
    Lynne - exciting news.

Level 1 and 2 completed this evening, apart from mopping the kitchen floor which I will do another day along with the hob. You've not heard that one from me before, ladies, now have you?! :o Bins all emptied and out for the collection tomorrow. Luckily the rain didn't arrive until just after DH got home from work, so the washing was rescued dry off the line. WM now loaded ready for the morning.

I dropped DD at her camp this morning, and DH is out for a couple of hours, so it's very quiet here this evening. Following in LW's awesome example, I set my timer for 30 minutes to start on my tax return - at least to work out the bits of paper that I still need to hunt down. It didn't go off a moment too soon - having spent all day looking at spreadsheets, the last thing I felt like doing was that. But therein lies the point of MADness. ;)

I've done DH's pack up for tomorrow. I let that slip last week, and he got through so much bread that I've taken back control. Tomorrow the lucky man has yet more veg. Well, someone's got to eat it!

Right, I think I'm going to make a cup of tea and sort out my MAD list for the week, and my new Toots list. Have lovely evenings all.

Thank you every one for your encouraging words of support for myself and DH. They are really so much appreciated. We'll get there it's just a long and very painful process. I just don't like to see him going through this as I can't do anything to help him. It's something I can't control and due to the nature of my mental health not being able to control something really sets me in a tail spin... :D

Didn't do any flyinging today I'm afraid unless you count several cups of tea, oh I did do some deheading in the garden earlier this evening :D

Tomorrow I'm hoping to do a reasonable amount of flying otherwise my house will look awful, and I have given the cleaner a couple of weeks off as it's summer holidays and she has children.

    Till tomorrow everyone xxx

  • Made the bed properly tonight, and found the remote control for the fan, which reduces the effort involved in switching it on/off/turning it up and down.
