    Good morning,

dreadful day here, didn't even get light this morning.

Hopefully another SFD although might need milk, we'll see.

Not much else to report, will start writing a list for Friday. That will be a speedy day as I need to go to the consulate and do my passport application.

Another NSD today, although tomorrow won't be - we will definitely need milk (and some other bits) so I shall pop into Tesc0 on my way home from work (handing out GCSE results tomorrow morning)

Using up: the last of the whipped up double cream (bought to go with 25p YS scones last week for afternoon tea week :D) with leftover plain spaghetti from my son last night with a splash of milk and some grated cheese to make a very, very basic cheesey spaghetti for lunch :D

    Today's thankfulness:
    * glorious sunshine (in the end - was fine drizzle when I got up)
    * getting 2 lots of washing line dried
    * clearing the ironing mountain
    * another fleabay sale (although not been paid for yet)
    * more free stamps from RM surveys - and L2S vouchers :)

    Afternoon!

Just catching up with the last few days as I've been a bit manic. Had an amazing time in London and stuck to my budget but things went a bit wrong on a spa day with my bestie on Monday. Well it went wrong in the pub after the spa day but we did have a really good time. I haven't looked at my bank account yet as I don't want to see the damage, I'll deal with it tomorrow.

Today is a NSD, but that's mainly because I am ill and won't be leaving the house.

So many things to be grateful over the last few days:
    - time spent with good friends
    - a very generous friend
    - my mum bringing me painkillers and chocolate today
    - meeting a lovely bunch of women on the train on Saturday and having a good blether
    - the rain sorting my plants out
    Visa - £368.99, Car loan (dad) - £3,690
    NSD - /18
    Food shop - £3.60/£100
    Super September Scrimper No. 28
  • Sorry I've been awol - however I can report 2 NSD. Monday wasn't as I ended up succumbing to buying chocolate at work.

Last two days have been positive though. Will aim for another NSD tomorrow but Friday will be spendy as I'm out for a friends birthday.

Nothing much else to report - I've had fairly long boring days at work and Its been the usual come home, eat, go to bed. It's payday next week (Thursday) and to be honest I'm counting down the days! Only a week to go.

    Gratitudes
    1) quick meals
    2) the sunshine has come out again
    3) finding someone to countersign my passport application

    Sorry haven't been about.

Still having knee problems. Went to Drs yesterday just got bundled off for an x ray straight away. Results Friday?

Had a day off sick today up all night with awful cold combined with hamstring pulling all night. Shattered.

Plus side no spending today as was yesterday. I did some surveys so managed to build up some vouchers towards Xmas. Only £1.25 off £50 on You gov - will go towards car insurance which has shot up. More comparison sites to look at when feel brighter. Walked 5 minutes and picked lots of blackberries. Just enjoyed blackberry/ apple crumble - feeding cold:rotfl:

    Grateful for
    Rest today

Glad you guys like Durham! We are off to Cullercoats on Friday to visit a friend before heading back south so that dd can get to a trampolining party.

Today I am grateful for a day inside, for being out of (and not in) the downpours, for pottering on with sewing up some big felt owls, for big sis' allotment, for finally meeting one of my sister's friends who I have heard so much about over the years but never coincided with before today, for hearing from my friend up in Cullercoats to confirm that we can visit her on Fri, for a tax rebate cheque arriving, for dd still loving taking photos.

  • Lovely to see all the updates - for some reason the food ones are the best!! I love the fact that people use up leftovers and are finding food in the freezer to have.

Nearly the end of the month - if you are not sure if you are on track, go back and have a read of the goals you set and see if you can still achieve them over the next week.

I made a rhubarb upside down cake on Sunday as well as an apple one. I have frozen half of the rhubarb one as DH and I wont eat 2 within the next day or so.

The plum jam is just fab and I cant stop eating it.

I also saw mentioned (either here or on another diary) about butternut squash and lentil dahl - I found a recipe online and it was amazing. I made enough for 2 lunches as well as tea on 1 night. Will definitely be making that again.

Have managed a further 2 NSD's which were Mon & Tues.
Today was a spend day as popped into Post Office to post a survey parcel and spotted some jelly sweets (like Haribo) but they were vegetarian and gluten free - I cant pass up an opportunity like that so spent £1 and it was £1 well spent!!!

Did all my household things yesterday and now have the shiniest kitchen ever - pots, pans the lot. Washed everything that I found in the boy's room - he cannot possibly have worn all those clothes since last time (about three days ago) - so now have another ironing mountain. Didn't go out so another NSD and not intending to go out today.
    Grateful for;
    Getting lots done yesterday
Nice weather to get washing dried outside
    A relatively quiet day,
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
