Grateful today for my workout, for a chilled out day, for the sunshine, for a walk in the woods, for finding the pond in the woods, for trampoline games in the playground with dd, for life ponderations, for putting on my big girl pants and going through the work emails, for said emails not being scary, for 85% choc - always!

  • Evening everyone,

Not had a chance to keep up with everyone’s posts this month, will try harder for next time!

Another week of August is done and dusted, where does the time go? (confused face)

Have made a bit of progress on this month’s goals as follows:
    • Allocate – spends for the month are now up £275.78/£280. I am lunching with a colleague on Wed, have calculated it should come to around £15 which will take me over my budget but by not too much.
    • Spends – have had 2 NSDS taking me up to 11.
    • Time (for yourself) – I’ve been reading and polished of another book.
    • Take lunch to work 13 out of the 14 days I’ll be there – took lunch to work 2 days the past week taking me up to 10/13.
    • Take part in the make up to £10 a day challenge and aim for £124 – haven’t made much of an effort on this goal since I achieved my target but I’m now up to £138.70.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

  • Morning all :hello: :coffee:
Starting the day with gratitudes as I've been missing for a couple of days...
Extra £ earned from exam marking
    My own emotional intelligence
Finally getting all of the school uniform sorted and bought
Still having a week off work.
Bagging 2 nsd's out of the last 3

Not too many plans for today - I'm desperately trying to finish off a blanket I'm making for a friend. I always underestimate the time it takes to sew in ends and put everything together... so I'll see how that's looking later. Other than that - relaxing and just seeing what happens.

It was really miserable here today. Very wet. We stayed in and after a very trying few hours managed to place an online food/household order to be delivered to our holiday address next month. Doesn't get paid until then so I'll claim today as a NSD if that's ok.
Made chicken stock for chicken noodle soup for the boy's lunches next week and having the remainder of yesterday's roast chicken with sauteed potatoes for dinner tonight.
Meeting cousins for lunch on Thursday.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Just 3 more days until the end of the month - everyone has done really well this month.

Raphael - exciting news for you!!

Reporting in 2 more NSD's for Thurs and Sat taking me to 14.

Hoping to get at least 1 more NSD in before month end - tomorrow definitely wont be as going back to school shopping:eek:

    Today I am grateful for:
    1. Paying up front for my car insurance for the first time ever (18 years driving!!)
    2. The very hot weather (even though I have been inside)
    3. Egg Mayonnaise (I always forget how nice it is until I make it. Today I have had 3 rolls with egg mayo in (breakfast, lunch and now tea:))

EE - I had egg mayo sandwiches for lunch too!

Today I am grateful for pain free shoe shopping with dd, for dh finally finding a waterproof that he liked, for time in the town park (big sandpit and also a playground), for ice lollies from Icyland - had to buy a pack of 4, so gave one away - only costing £1, for getting the digging and weeding and transplanting done that I have been putting off for aaaaages, for discovering a WSM prog on channel 5 (fmess - take note!!!!!), for dh cleaning the undersink cupboard, for getting my head around renewing a subscription, for buying some veggies today to make yummy coleslaw.

    Evening all

End of the weekend and time to assess the damage! :rotfl: I did make it back on Saturday without paying for the Dartford tunnel. Would've been a NSD but I bought mum and dad an ice cream - they always buy dinner when I'm up there so it's the least I can do in return. £9 spent on Saturday I think in total.

Yesterday again wasn't a NSD, I managed to get the undercoat done in the living room (it's the last room that needs decorating and I've been putting it off for ages!), then went riding. Had a really fab ride but was super hot and sweaty when I got home so decided to be naughty and have a pint at our local in the beer garden. £3.50 spent.

Today we went to watch some horse racing, again not a NSD as had to pay for parking (£15 :eek::eek:I nearly had a heart attack!). I also bought a couple of soft drinks as I drank the water I brought with me as it was so hot. I budgeted £30 for the day and came home with £10 so did well.

All in all not done too well on the NSD front, but have had a lovely long weekend along with fabulous weather and have had the chance to catch up with friends and family, so much to be grateful for. Have also bagged a couple of healthy days as well, so have exceeded my target and reached 22/20. Still need to get 3 more NSD's though - got three days of the month left to achieve that one!

    NSD 15 today :D

Today I'm grateful for a yummy ham and cheese toastie for lunch (can't mind the last time I had a toastie), the weather turning nice after initially being miserable, lots of chat with the girls on whatsapp and earning some extra cash :)
