Yesterday I was grateful for another NSD (16/16
), a lovely walk with a friend somewhere I'd never been, visiting another friend and her son and my neighbour taking in my washing.

Yesterday was a bit fraught thanks to some very cheeky children. The boy next door has acquired a new friend? (female) who seems to be a terrible influence on the others (none of whom actually live here). The mess, noise and language is awful. Chips were thrown all over my porch and when I told them to pick them up I was treated to a mouthful of abuse. Luckily C was in and told her (none too politely) to go away and not come back. I've told the others that if it doesn't stop I'm going to have to speak to their parents. I feel like the wicked witch of the west but I don't see why we should have our quality of life ruined by other people's children. Mine would never have dared behave like that and I have to say neither would any of my neighbours'. What makes it worse is I've known the boy concerned since he was a baby and we've always been the very best of friends. Until recently I used to look after him when his parents were working. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed and very upset as nothing like this has ever happened in the twenty odd years I've lived here.
Anyway. I'm in myself today as C is off out with his friend. Lots to do so better get on with it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Productive night last night. Got the grass cut (hopefully then last time, but hedge still needs done). Did a freezer etc inventory and shopping list. Replaced some silicon in the bathroom.
Tonight I'll wipe out the fridge and tackle the cabinet of doom (Tupperware).DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Toni - sorry you are having issues with local children - are they teenagers?
I always find that a lot of teenagers like to take trouble away from their own doorstep and take it to someone elses.
Hopefully they wont be back any time soon.
Yesterday was indeed a mega spendy day - haven't added up what was spent but all was needed and there is money in the budget for it all.
Not planning on doing much today so should be a NSD, waiting for various deliveries and also dog has chub club at vets today but we don't pay for that.0 -

They are aged about 12 - 14. Three of them I know but only the lad next door lives here. The other two I know have been coming here to play for years and all the neighbours have been good to them. Buying them Xmas presents, making picnics in the summer etc but since this girl came on the scene they have gone completely wild. Just to give you an idea how close we were to the boy next door, C's late sister has left him a bequest in her will. Neither he or his parents know this yet as the estate hasn't been settled. If it happens again today I am going to speak to my neighbour. One of the other neighbours says she doubts his mother knows what's going on and would probably be more than happy if I told her. It's a very nasty situation though. Just glad I'm going on holiday in two weeks.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Quick post. NSD achieved - went to PO but posted fleabay parcel with a free RM survey stamp
(and buyer paid postage anyway) Also had £22 refunded to my account for too big school trousers for DS2
Today's gratitudes:
* fab optometrist doing eye tests on DS2 & DS3 today - really took his time and suggested things for DS3's itchy, light-sensitive eyes
* another fleabay sale overnight
* DD sorting out a load of junk/ treasures in her room
* the rain clearing up
* DS2 when he was sick in the night managing to get to the bathroom - so only a small amount of cleaning up in the sink to do(and no smell!)
