    Misstara it's what we call a roll or bap. Think it's a midlands thing.

    Apple I am so excited. My builder says I'm the most excitable client he works for. I was delighted to be getting a new roof and now I'm super excited for my bathroom, you know how much I want a bath! :rotfl:

    A lovely meal out yesterday using a voucher we bought some time ago. C paid for the wine so a NSD for me. Still don't think I'll reach my target as my cousin is home from Canada and I envisage a girly lunch with the cousins sometime this week. Today is the boy's birthday but I think it'll be a quiet day.
    Grateful for:
    A lovely day out
    Long talk with C about holiday plans for the next year
    The rain stopping. It was horrendously wet yesterday.
    Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Back from my holiday!
    I spent everyday, but came in under my budget so not too bad :)

    We have finally exchanged on our house buy!! We complete on Sept 11th, so I think I may have to bow out of the challenge for the moment until we are in and settled. Mainly as we'll be busy packing and sorting out moving utilitys etc. I'm hoping we can book in the internet to limit downtime!

    Today I am grateful for a refreshing night's sleep, for getting a workout done, for line drying the washing, for dd loving the trampolining party, for doing some sewing, for both stewed apples and rasps from the garden, for having enough money on my oyster to get home, for garnering another NSD as they are much harder to acquire in the sch holidays, for feeling generally positive about the future.

    Morning all,

    I'm so pleased that we've finally got this beautiful weather :)

    Yesterday I was grateful for:-

    - a swim in the outdoor pool with my temporary gym pass
    - the sunshine
    - sticking to SW (except when out for dinner)
    - a lovely meal and catch up with friends
    - the dogs behaving whilst the new neighbours moved in (the only barked a hundred times ;) )
    - having the motivation to get stuff done

    Great news on the house, Raphael! :)

    Been absent for a few days - just been busy & tired.

    Thurs - work 8 -2 with GCSE results. Small spend at Tesc0 on milk, bacon, some YS goods and some baked goods for children :)

    Fri - DD's new bed and mattress were delivered. Old bed has been taken apart and all packed up. Now sat in garage waiting to go in loft (DS2 and DS3 have cabin beds - they may well prefer a 'standard' wooden single like DD's as they get a bit older (no chance of fitting a double in their rooms) Old mattress (well and truly past it) also in there waiting to go to tip, along with an old office chair (bright pink 'coated' seat - now approx. 8 years old and coating has mainly come off and there are pink shreds of it all over the house), old huuuuuge desk top (as in top of desk, not PC) and lots of cardboard packaging.

    Was bestie's birthday on Fri, so went to see her in the afternoon with a very small bargainacious present (reduced from £20 to £5 in Superdry sale :D) and spent a few hours there chatting with her, her hubby when he got home from work and another friend of theirs :) Came home to DD and OH putting new bed together, so helped with that - and we then popped to Tesc0 - realising we were short on a pillow, and the only spare double duvet was feather (bleurgh)

    Yesterday was our 22nd wedding anniversary. I posted off my wedding dress for angel baby gowns and went into town with OH and DS1 to get some polo shirts for DS1 for work experience at a GPs next week (he is more of a skull black tshirt kind of teenager, so had nothing suitable to wear!) Thankfully sport soccer sell plain ones cheaply :) - and also managed to pick him up a suitable black winter coat (as in I approve and so does he) - and another skull tshirt. OH and he had breakfast baps in town (I'd had toast at home) and I returned some school trousers to M&S which didn't fit DS2 and took a bag of clothing rags into H&M in exchange for a £5 voucher (valid until Jan 2019 - but DS1, DS2 and DD all have things like trackies & jeans (and tops for DD) from there - so will easily be spent (have another bag also ready to take in)

    Came home and it was soon time to go out for afternoon tea with OH, bestie & her hubby at a local lovely old little hotel (that was her present) - 4 hours in the sun, drinking lots of tea, coffee & iced water and pleasant chit chat :) Came home, fed children, played a couple of games of cards with them - and then OH and I went out for a meal for our anniversary.

    Very spendy weekend - hasn't stopped - today we are off to 1kea to get new (small) top of desk (will re-use legs), new (non shedding) chair, some glasses to replace broken ones and look at wall and ceiling lights for DS3's room

    So.... gratitudes:
    * gorgeous weather
    * time spent with friends
    * DD looking after smalls lots
    * DD dealing with wet laundry lots!
    * DS1 mowing front lawns
    * smalls being fab about being left with older siblings
    * lovely food last night
    * DS3 and DS2 having a fab time playing with all the Oct0nauts toys for hours
    * DS3 sorting most of the Pct0nauts toys into sets so I can list tehmon fleabay :)

    Afternoon of a walk along the canal to feed the ducks and swans planned (asked for by DS3) - with a visit to playpark after. Have some YS 10p little gem lettuces which they can have :)

    Waay too warm for a roast dinner today. May make some rolls and marinate some chicken breasts from freezer and suggest we have a fakeway Nand0s - usually goes down well with a heap of salad and veggie rice :)

    Great news on the house, Raphael. Hope everything goes smoothly.
    Yesterday was another NSD but had to do a bit of shopping today but not too much. Really have to concentrate on the freezers before we go away next month.
    Chicken in oven for dinner and then I'm off to bed. Been feeling really tired lately.
    Hope those of you who aren't working tomorrow have a good bank holiday.
