Hi everyone
Had a shopping day. Yes I got food yesterday this was clothes oops. Plonking myself on naughty step. I did use my Sainsbobs vouchers which I was going to use for food this month Got comfy shoes for work decided sandal day will be soon over. Work skirt, top for work, hair dye and some other toiletries. Only parted with £10 cash. I failed with make do challenge. My clothes for work are worn out or uncomfortably tight.
Felt awful this afternoon had to lye down on bed just became dizzy and really tired. Quick nap then made a roast chicken dinner.
Watched last episode of Poldark gutted its over for this year.
Grateful for
Sainsbobs now having fitting rooms
Perfect work shoes
Vouchers from surveys paying for my treat day.
good luck with home visit Mistara I so want a doggie in my life xLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
Apple did you know Lidell are currently doing a gf promotion? I popped in today and got a gf goodfellas pizza (didn't know they existed!), hobnobs and some other bits at decent prices.
Spendy day at the pets store (the dogs are delighted and we're quite content with their new bones this afternoon) and topped up food shopping.
I'm sorry I've forgotten who mentioned it, but someone said they had a cleaner? I'm currently seriously considering the idea but struggling with the anti MSEness of it. To put it into context, I'm a teacher, I work 60+ hours a week, have three dogs and a cat and live alone. I hate cleaning and therefore my house is always just on the acceptable side of dirty but is slowly getting worse.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all :coffee:
Had a tired day yesterday, but it was a nsd... Forgot to check in with my gratitudes.
Yesterday I was grateful for:
spending time with my family
My own resilience when things get tough
Time to crochet.
Fmess - it's me that's just gotten round to getting a cleaner. As you know, I'm also a teacher and an examiner. I don't live on my own but my family barely do anything and in exam season I regularly do 80-90 hours a week work wise. I've not really wanted to admit defeat and get a cleaner, but the truth is that I need one. It doesn't feel very mse, but if it will make me feel better in myself then that's how it will be. She starts today. Sometimes you just have to admit that you can't do it all - and if it's starting to bother you then maybe you need to look at it a bit more.
I think it was FBO who also has a cleaner...Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Fmess - If it doesn't break the bank and you can afford it I'd go for the cleaner. 60+ hours is a lot to work. It's all about balance and if you hate cleaning it would be worth it. Look on it as creating some "me" time to do things you do enjoy.
Didn't go out yesterday so NSD number 3.
Weighed myself and have lost 1.3 lbs. Not great but better than nothing (really must try to avoid the cheese cake).
Treat and gratitude - Silence apart from the children playing - No workmen.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Thanks ccl and Toni's friend. Like you ccl when I'm examining I work from when I wake up until when I go to sleep. I also hate cleaning and feel I'm constantly juggling everything. It won't break the bank and I've just changed my mortgage to a lower interest rate and I'm hoping the amount I pay for cleaning will be about the same as the amount I'm saving each month. I also want to go for another promotion this year, if the chance arises, so that'll be even more time working.

Snap - I just got promoted at the end of term - starting in September. So I'm just looking on it as protecting my own mental health because as you know I hate cleaning and gardening. Getting the guy in to do the garden has been revolutionary, so the cleaning lady will hopefully be the same...
I've had a lot of guilt about it and have spent a long time calling myself lazy but the truth is that I'm not lazy at all. I'm always busy doing other stuff. It's as Toni'sfriend says - an investment in you. You work hard so treat yourself. Not giving up

Hello,
back from amazing weekend on my own in the Scottish Highlands. Had a fab Saturday, loads of cycling and walking and the triathlon on Sunday was great too.
Came home to a bit of a mess (not too bad, just not the way I would've left it, IYKWIM) and DH admitted he didn't get much done because he had the kids, oh really, lol. In his defence he took them to a party, had friends round and visited a relative in care and still got some washing, the bins and the recycling done.
Tonight will be spend cooking some lunches, making a bit of a meal plan, getting the house back to the way I like it and ready for FIL staying tomorrow.
Will catch up on here and update my numbers.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Fmess I agree with crazy_cat_lady Its an investment in you. In my case it's an investment in my marriage. Although I don't work ridiculous hours, my mental health is shaky and being able to get home and relax, not stress about cleaning to my standards, is worth it.
It's all about priorities. I'd rather pay for a cleaner than a takeaway!Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Today has not been a NSD but it has been a rather exciting day!
First trip was to the registrar to give notice of intention to marry. It feels so much more real now! But that was £70 out of the wedding fund.
We then went shopping - spent about £25 in Home Bargains but we now have dishwasher tablets and fabric softener to last at least another month and a half so big spends but not regular ones. Spent about £30 in Aldi and £15 in Asda - quite a few yellow sticker bits for dinner tonight, think a fish a yellow sticker fish pie is on the cards, I have all the ingredients now to make one.
Gratitudes
1) I'm grateful for a day off work today
2) I'm grateful for Game of Thrones
3) I'm grateful for the fact that we have made one more step closer to getting everything for the wedding sorted.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
