Third NSD in a row. Trying to get a NSD in the bag has made me realise how much money I fritter away on junk or through boredom. That's the point though isn't it, suppose I'm just a bit late to the party on this one!!

Today I'm grateful that a planned night out tonight was cancelled (rather antisocial I suppose but it's saved me £20!). To my mum for giving me some strawberries from a local farm and that the train was delayed otherwise I'd have missed it. Must be the first time I've ever been grateful for a delayed train!

Saw on the news tonight about a footballer being bought for £2 million, I think that's disgusting. No one is worth that kind of money - especially someone who just kicks a ball about a field!!
    Visa - £368.99, Car loan (dad) - £3,690
    NSD - /18
    Food shop - £3.60/£100

    Evening :hello:
I am stuck on just 1 nsd. DS and I had hair appointments today and I had to post a letter as well. I don't mind though because I'm not frittering money away - it was expected spends, just not well planned.
Calling - I'm sorry to hear that your dh isn't much help but in a way relieved that I'm not the only one to live in a home where I'm the only person that notices dishes need washing or bins need emptying etc. I sometimes wonder if I have enabled the three of them to treat me like that.
Anyway... I've spent most of the day marking and after 2 days I'm already more than half way through, which is brilliant. So that's one of my gratitudes :D
I also have found a cleaner which almost serves as a double gratitude on its own.
And I am grateful that I can sleep whenever I want to at the moment.

Today I am grateful for time with my sister, for dh having a few hours of extra work, for dd not waking up early, for stewed fruit (apple, rasp and b'currant all from our garden, no added sugar required), for a walk with dd, for doing some sewing, for a 'successful' shop at sainz, for our library, for dd's excitement at going on holiday tomorrow - it's infectious!

Bit of a crappy day today, found out from all my chiropractor investigations and x rays that I have arthritis. Was a bit bummed as I'm only 31 and I guess you just never expect something like that to start so 'young'. I have terrible posture, got lots to think about but need to invest in some treatment for sure. Had to pay for parking but will count that as part of the medical expense. Today I'm grateful for :

Getting a diagnosis so that I can move forward.
Supportive colleagues - more supportive than my parents bizarrely, their reaction was a bit weird.
    Friday!

    Evening all,

    SFD number 3 today :)

    Today I am grateful for:-
    - my hospital appointment being so quick that I was within the free car parking time limit
    - getting the lawns mowed without it raining
    - my mum buying lunch even though I invited her and my grandad
    - my sister finding a house that she might buy
    - the warmer weather and lack of rain for a day
    - the tattooist having time to fit me in to touch up a faded bit, and then not charging me
    - the athletics on TV keeping me occupied all evening
    - a gorgeous large lunch which meant I didn't need tea (just had a snack)
    - my dogs :)

    Hi guys
Not much to report here. But my second shift at the charity shop went well. The computer till is still a learning experience but getting easier. I'd forgotten how hard shopwork is on the feet but it's a nice shop with nice customers and I feel useful.
Yesterday I've been grateful for it not raining on me so I could walk to and from town, for a baby to cuddle and for OH getting a shift at his temp job which will go in the holiday fund.
i hope everyone is happy and well

My mantra this month is do as I say and not as I do!!!

    Finally, here are my goals:

Allocate – budgets set. Money set aside for trip to Theme Park – found a money off coupon in our local shop with £6 off per ticket so that makes it a cheap day for 4 of us. My week off at the end of August is after my end of August payday so will take spends from there, not that we are going away but hopefully will have some days out.
Have also budgeted £500 for DD’s new school uniform – can’t remember if I have mentioned but we are moving DD’s school due to issues, she is 14 so getting ready for exams so best time to move.

Use (Up) – the freezers are looking bare as we have made our way through the pork from last year. Our pantry is also looking sparse so need to do a big shop to stock up.
I need some vest tops for walking the dogs/allotment stuff as mine are all over 8 years old and have now got holes in – will wait for a jumble sale where I can pay 20p for one (I can’t help thinking I am too tight as Primark vest tops are only £2 but I begrudge paying that!!)

    Gratitudes – will do

Upcoming (holidays) – Trip to theme park in 2 weeks with DH, DD and friend. We usually take drinks and buy some chips on the way round. At the end of the month DD wants to go crabbing and we are also considering boating.
Other than that DD will mainly sleep in until mid-day and then play Xbox and chat to friends on social media!!

    Spends – I will have 15 NSD’s.

    Time (for yourself)
    – each evening after work I am having my 1 coffee of the day while reading the paper, its actually really nice to sit for 30mins doing nothing.
I need to do some colouring this month as well.
