Does anyone know if the smart meters being installed by Eversmart are still SMETS or the new SMETS2 compliant ones ?

    Thanks

They have just dropped their prices and the usual inability to scale up issue has already started. Message on the web says they are experiencing some phone technical difficulties which means they can't deal with volume.

I switched Electricity to them about 6 months ago to their 12 month no standing charge tariff.

Cheap Energy Club is listing Eversmart on top for dual fuel, but not for Electricity only - although the no standing charge is available for Electricity only on their website.

I dropped them an e-mail, and they switched me to their current tariff. So no standing charge for the next 12 months. I also noticed that I had misread a meter reading by 1000 KWH resulting in a £200 monthly bill. This was fixed within an hour of my e-mail and the bill reissued.

The website also appears to have improved.

So from my point of view, they are getting better.

I decided yesterday, that my life is just to darn boring and uneventful...

So I started a Switch away from TOTO to Eversmart Energy...

    Let the fun begin...

Signed up early hours of Friday morning. Received my welcome pack today. Everything seems in order. So far, so good...

I asked Eversmart which standard of meter they are currently installing and their reply was SMET1.

By the looks of the images, it's a "Liberty Secure" SMETES1 meter they will be fitting...

Thanks. I've just spoken to Eversmart and they inform me that from around November they will be installing the new SMETS2 compliant meters.

I joined last week when the offer came on, and was a little sceptical. But in fairness they seem to be progressing reasonably well.

The bloke on the phone is not entirely "polished", but if they provide me with gas and electric cheap, and correctly bill me, I can live with that minor flaw.

    Hope they keep it up.
