margaret,
where have you seen them for £128? you having a laugh?
not all people can get contract phone be it age or credit rating etc and some don't want hassle of getting one just for a phone thus go to other sources.

Right, at last, I have got it right.
The reason I quoted £350 on Ebay is because I've sold one for £345, if you want the auction number email me (been told off about posting auction numbers before).
The reason I quoted 3 months 1/2 price is because this is what it says when you check your receipt online (go take a look). This information is WRONG, and is due to OSPS having two databases (they are currently upgrading to a better system).
Therefore I quoted cashback at 3 x 15 and 5 x 30 combined, as the information online gave me this impression. This is WRONG.
Cashback is simply 30 x 8 = £240.
I have been told in no uncertain terms that downgrading after 6 months is OK and will not affect cashback payment, and furthermore will not affect the amount of cashback (£240).
Therefore the following is possible (note the eBay price change - these phones are getting cheaper as more become available).
Outgoings:
£30 x 6 (Crossnet 200)
£15 x 6 (Anytime 25)
£10 Paypal fees
£5 eBay fees
Income:
£240 cashback
£270 eBay
You may also buy online and use Quidco and the online incentive for an extra £25. Alternatively, you may recommend a friend and claim £30.
Furthermore if you recommend a friend they can choose the colour.
If you buy online, it is very likely your phone will be silver, not black (as pictured online).
Note they do not have these phones in stock (which has meant me issuing a refund for my eBay sale) and should get 150-200 in stock by Monday.
Regardless of my trust in this information, please check it whilst you order (another reason for phoning).
Also, does anyone know of a cheaper plan than Anytime 25 on Vodafone that we could downgrade to?0 -

hi Thenotsowyzewun,
i am just about to place an order:
should i use credit card or debit?
should i order online or via phone?
will i get the black unbranded one?
anything else i should be aware off?
thanks,0 -
Order either way. They prefer direct debit details and also credit card for credit check and proof of address.mak_attack wrote:hi Thenotsowyzewun,

Option of 3 months free insurance and tech support. These will be charged for later months by DD unless you remember to cancel them beforehand.0 -
I've just made an order for one of these - only 7 months free now, but still seems a pretty reasonable deal.
I'm not convinced that they'll let me go down to £15 after the 7 months, but I'll phone up and ask them at the time, great deal anyway!
- even if I stay at £30 the full time, that's £140 (ignoring the Quidco cashback) for a phone worth £300, not bad at all. Even with it now at just 7 months free, if I were to manage to get down to £15 for the last 5 months that would be £65, with the Quidco £15 down to £50. Very impressive!
Hope it's not too difficult to get the cashback out of them......0 -
Hi PinkPig,
u can defo. downgrade after 6 months. i will be doing the same
lol i rang up around 5 times each time getting a diff sales rep and was told the same.
6 x 30 1st 6 months / 6 x 15 last 6 months
they changed from 8 --> 7 months this lunchtime
hope that helps0 -
Oh good!
The terms and conditions seem to say the same
So with £210 cashback for the first 7 months, downgrading to £15 a month from month 8 onwards, getting £10 for signing up online and getting £15 from Quidco, that's £50. Plus the free minutes and the texts for the first 6 months (and I checked that these can be cancelled without penalty).
I haven't decided whether I'll sell it on Ebay or keep it for myself........ anyone know whether the MP3 sound quality is as good as any other phone out there?
(Do still wish I'd got the extra month free by signing up this morning rather than this afternoon....
) 0 -
hi PinkPig.
i am defo keeping this for myself
blows other phones away.
mp3 sound is meant to be on par with k700i or even better i have read in forums thus meaning a good mp3 player as well as a phone. its meant to be better than the nokia's
to start of with you get around 64mb + 34mb ish for music etc
512mb = £36 del or 1gb = £70 del via fleabay
the online £10 is a high street voucher (they don't state it clearly)
when is your delivery? i can't wait for mine !
thanks,0
