I know what I'll be doing if/when I eventually move in - starting on making it my own (anyone else obsessed with researching home decor ideas? No, just me then?!)I've been on Pinterest and have a home decor board set up since my first viewing back at the end of Sept 😆Won't be moving in till May but atleast I'll have decor, colour schemes picked out the moment i move in!0

BettyVob said:Yes, this is me with the Pinterest board! I also keep browsing auction houses for things like mirrors. I'm so tempted by one, but storing it for 2 months to then potentially get broken in the move seems a silly idea.
I'm currently after a couple of items of bedroom furniture - I'd ideally buy once we've moved, but if I see what I want at the price I want then I might just have to purchase!0 -
With removals, we've got a few quotes for our 2 bed flat, we do have large wardrobes, large sofa/chaise lounge, fridge freeze and washing machine and lots of content. Most are telling us 2 luton vans and and roughly £1000, I checked the distance and we are moving 750 meters away by road (closer if you go by circumference). But dates are booking out fast and and we agreed end of the week exchange, but have just seen that our buyer has sent another question to the maintenance company... oh help me god

Everyone in the chain has agreed to exchange contracts today, and we've given authority to proceed.
Getting more nervous as we creep up towards the end of the day without any news though. 😬 Can't wait to experience a different genre of stress than being sat around with no idea whether something is going wrong!1 -
Turns out we weren’t even close to moving this week. Our mortgage company have sent a massive checklist to the solicitor which they want 7 working days to check over before then writing with an agreement to issue funds. So we are packed up, on annual leave, for nothing. We now have to unpack all our kids stuff, our clothes etc.Just gonna go cry I think.1

we had a day of it yesterday, after a bitter war of words between our agent and us and them bringing round flowers to apologise we have agreed to go into rented but we need 4 weeks between exchange and completion. They have a Lettings dept so I have tasked them to find us something but we have also said we don’t want to exchange until we see something that’s suitable. This is because we have a dog and I know finding somewhere that will accept pets will probably be hard! But, as we are breaking our chain and allowing our buyer and chain below to get sorted before we are I’m sure they won’t mind waiting. Think I will pack up rest of the house and we might get a storage unit just so we can empty some of the house as we are moving from a 4 bedroom 1600 square foot into potentially a 2/3 bed house or flat 🤷🏻♀️ But it is what it is. It was hard to get under offer with our house and I really can’t go through those nail biting waits not knowing if the viewing went well and they liked it or not!0 -
Stand your ground.... Finding a solution to temporary accommodation is surely a bigger issue than sorting removals /getting a van? (says the woman in a flap about her own removal situation 😂)
It has to work for the whole chain... You being homeless with a dog is not workable....!2 -
