Sadly we're young whippersnappers (HAH she says after putting her back out vacuuming at the weekend!) so miss that cut off by quite a way... And no parents willing to drive one lol. Where there's a will there's a way though! If it wasn't for lockdown I'd have done a few trips to mums garage with a car full.....1

My back was already sore from working from home for the last year, and moving last week has not helped! Treated myself to a desk chair upgrade yesterday to see if I can recover in time to do it all again in a few weeks/month or so!Caz_Mnaz said:Sadly we're young whippersnappers (HAH she says after putting her back out vacuuming at the weekend!) so miss that cut off by quite a way... Same - we got our two bed flat into one 18 months ago and have only picked up a couple more pieces of furniture and white goods since we moved to a bigger house.Natbag said:
Same as me, and I reckon you'll be fine with 1 3.5T Luton. I fit my 2-bed flat in one, I didn't have a fridge, but I got a wardrobe, 3 chest of drawers, sideboard, large sofa, double bed, 2 single beds, 2 desks and a LOT of boxes and miscellaneous items in it with room to spare. Just bring your Tetris A-game and you'll be fine!Caz_Mnaz said:Wow, we've been told by a few companies our 2bed will need 2 Lutons... Which I don't believe as we don't have any wardrobes, just one bedframe and no dining room. Lots of boxes though! Our local van men won't do it as we're moving counties... Sigh.
Looks like it'll be us, a van, a hyundai and a mini 😂
We moved from our flat to this house in a hyundai... Amazing what you can fit in them!!Two beds, no dining furniture, no wardrobes - we probably could do it ourselves but for the sake of an extra £100 I’m happy to let two guys who know this like the back of their hand do it for us 😂0 -
My buyer also said yesterday ‘As long as you’re out by 6ish then it’s fine’ so I should be fine to do a couple of trips if necessary.0

Ah that's handy. Our buyers are FTB so hopefully they'll be as generous. We are tempted to get professional movers in, as it is a lot of hard work and stress on the day, but then I just think that it's only 1 day, it's 5 minutes down the road and that money could be spent on better things. Hmmmmm. Maybe if we don't have to pay stamp duty. We'll see!timmins91 said:My buyer also said yesterday ‘As long as you’re out by 6ish then it’s fine’ so I should be fine to do a couple of trips if necessary.Property buying/selling timeline - currently into week 21

I'd love a mover if we can get one.. But not for 800quid thanks!!
I was hoping stamp duty extension would take some pressure off but our chain still wanting to move by end of the month.... Whyyyyyyy lol0 -
I'm the opposite, I need the pressure on. Now I've moved out of my flat and in with my boyfriend, we have 2 adults working from home and 4 kids between us under each other's feet in a very small house. It's ok temporarily, but we are desperate to get moved. But man, it is slow going.Caz_Mnaz said:I was hoping stamp duty extension would take some pressure off but our chain still wanting to move by end of the month....
