FTB_Help said:Congrats!!! I bet you'll have the best nights sleep tonight.I literally would have been on the exact same timeline as you, and should have been exchanging today too! 🤷♀️I guess I'll see you again on the home DIY/ mortgage free wannabe section of this forum in a few months 😁Absolutely will be on the mortgage free wannabe board, next thing we are aiming for!I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.

We’re still hoping to exchange before the end of the week. Annoyingly solicitors take 2-3 days to review responses to enquiries so that’s literally all they’re waiting for. Will the solicitor be asking for the additional funds to bridge the gap between my sale deposit and my purchase deposit? They said they take the sale proceeds into consideration which more than covers the difference but obviously that only comes through on completion? Just wondering how it works.0

Morning all, hope everyone gets some good news today! We should get our completion date today, although I'm not looking forward to it as we are in a loop chain and the woman has decided she is going to make multiple trips to move her stuff in, whereas we've paid to have a removal firm do it all in one go. Looks like a lot of waiting around will still be had on moving day while she sorts herself out. Such a nightmare but it's hardly worth being funny over since she is buying our house and we are buying hers2

Morning everyone - don't know why checking my emails at 7am is going to make a difference.
For me today still literally waiting for my seller to confirm that they are happy to exchange today and complete on the 12th. EA "says" they are chasing but that's been for 2 days. Does chasing mean just sending emails? I bet it is - no-one thinks of picking up the phone ever....Solicitors all just shrug their shoulders and say "nothing I can do.....I'm ready"
Just a thought - if my buyer and his buyer follow through with pulling out today (if its not sorted) and the reason is purely because the seller didn't confirm for 3 days - do I have any comeback on that? Or is it just the bad luck of dealing with morons?1 -

We’ve been living with family since and just need our own space ASAP. All of the legal work completed yesterday on our side but it’s hard getting an answer as to what shape our onward chain is in. Here’s hoping for a March completion anyway.1 -

I must say although I'm sick of waiting (my sale and purchase a ready just waiting for bottom of chain to sort themselves) I'm feeling very lucky to have such pro active agents and solicitor.... I haven't had to chase anything once and get weekly updates from both!
Saying that though.... I believe bottom or second bottom of chain are using online conveyancer so wish us luck 😂🤦♀️0
