The NEW waiting to exchange thread...

All I hear is radio silence radio goo goo radio ga ga .... sorry guys think I’ve finally lost it !!! Hehe. 

So yes signed contract, handed it in, still waiting to hear on exchange dates or moving in dates .. but noooo just radio silence again !!! 

Hence, instead of a moan I thought I would dedicate a good ole classic song to this thread and have a sing song 🎵.

(Singing) What a difference day makes 24 little hours. Like another post I have took to singing a song. 
I cant believe I'm actually typing this. @Irishpearce26 might as well include since we had our message mix up. Thanks for engaging by the way. 
Anyway buyers made contact via email to their solicitor last night, to say they would contact today to book an appointment to sign the contract. Hallelujah!! Anyway as we need to complete next week, our new build is ready. Buyers couldn't get in until tuesday next week to sign (alarm bells). After a bit of back and forth between solictors, our buyers agreed to drawing down their mortgage funds this week so we can complete next week. Our funds are also being drawn down. They will be able to move in when suits them since they're renting.  So after 3 weeks of waiting and being pushed from pilar to post by the buyers solicitor and our buyer, we exchange on Tuesday and complete next Friday 5th March! Oh and we managed to reschedule the blinds to be fitted day after we move in, van rebooked, post sorted. No additional costs and we still have our help for moving. It all fell into place in the end. 
To all those who are stuck between a rock and a hard place, you will get there. It's hard, stressful but will be worth it in the end. Good luck everyone, onwards to next tuesday and friday!

Needed to read this today, currently losing the will & any hope of even getting any dates discussed despite believing all parties should be ready to go. People far worse off but it’s so stressful!!!

Know exactly what you mean, been lurking here for a while finally signed our sale contracts on Friday and delivered back to the solicitors, our purchase ones were signed weeks ago. Been trying to get a response from our solicitors since Friday but nothing - so annoying. Feel so close but so far away from the end.

Keeping everything crossed for people to get good news this week.

Have asked our EA to check our buyers are ready to exchange next Tuesday and complete the 9th. Last update was they needed to send their deposit and confirm they’re happy with the completion date with their solicitor. 

Cautiously optimistic we’ll be able to exchange at some point next week, if not Tuesday. 

That's fantastic news!!!

Bet you're relieved, this gives me hope on my situation.

You can now start planning house warming and book everyone in for the 21st June!

• Solicitors Instructed 22/02
• Solicitor gave us our fixtures and fittings form for purchase and sale questionnaires 22/02
• Mortgage application submitted to Santander 23/02
• Valuation booked 24/02
• Valuation carried out 25/02
• My buyers valuation carried out 25/02

In the same boat here, too! Fingers crossed for all of us.

Called up the solicitor again this morning and have been told that they're "just on the phone, but leave your number and you'll be called back! ". But that's been the case everytime I've called since Monday, so I'm thinking of dropping all pretence at politeness and just calling every half hour today until they give up and talk to me. 🙃
