I would love to find out the answer to whether this works because my local authority say 10 days and I emailed them they said they can expedite to do in 2 days but according to the solicitor she put the request in 3 months ago! Her excuse being that all solicitors use a third party company so what the council says is irrelevant... anybody know if this is true? Not sure why this is but it’s worth asking the conveyancer how they apply for searches in the future - not helpful now though.1

Everything is ready to go document wise and I'm buying a new build with no chain. I'm so anxious as I've spoken to someone in the same borough who has just waited 10 weeks for theirs to come back. Praying mine dont take so long.

So no, not all solicitors use a third party company.1 -
Monday again, feels like Groundhog Day, every week on this day I email the solicitors for an update, and then wait ....3

Good luck to everyone this week - hope you all get a step closer to exchange/completion & to those expecting to reach those milestones before Friday - I hope it all works out 🤞🏻8

At least this week I know not to expect any news as bottom of the chain not getting surveys until March..... Will I still refresh my emails every minute? You betcha 😂3

Good luck this week everyone! Fingers and toes crossed, and for exchanges and completes! I think this place is the only place keeping me sane during this wait! Just over 1 year in this selling and buying process😓2

I woke up today and felt spaced out... I exchanged "unexpectedly" on the 11th - literally didn't even get a call to confirm prior - and finally completing this Friday 26th, touch wood that it all goes okay...! Funds release have been confirmed by lender and I have paid completion statement last week, surprisingly less than I thought/budgeted for with apportionment costs. Done all the home move forms for internet, water, council tax, electric, vet, registered with new GP and now just waiting...
This thread kept me motivated when it seemed it wasn't going to happen! I know a lot of people here have had their purchases going on for months -- not yet seen one as long as mine, though!
Sale was agreed on 4th March 2020, so this is a huge week for me on my lonesome!
Kind of feels unreal... Won't sink in until I have the keys in my hand!thanks all in the thread and hang in there, even after 354 days from sale agreed to completion, it happens (but it won't be that long)!
