I’m one week ahead of you in a chain of 3 parties and 2 properties - I agree re the waiting! Wishing you luck 🤞🏻Diabhay15 said:I’ve been lurking on this thread for a while and thought I’d jump on!Hope everyone waiting for some news this week gets something positive..
we are currently on the 19th week since offer was accepted and a chain of 3 properties. Everything done our end and I believe the rest of the chain is ready... we haven’t had contracts to sign yet, does anyone know at what point these are sent out?? We are desperate to exchange and complete ASAP! I think this has got to be the worst bit... waiting and waiting..
Forever refreshing emails and waiting for phone calls and then nothing!!!0 -
It’s the disappointment too - hopefully you’ll be all systems go tomorrow 🤞🏻pinkundine said:
Thanks - it's super frustrating but at least the solicitors are the ones on the hook for the costs associated with not completing on time. It's the icing on the cake of their incompetence, frankly.mathdotrandom said:
Frustrating but fixable, good luck for tomorrow!1 -
This is driving me nuts this now. Solicitor has finally responded saying, she hasn't had any suggestion of dates put forward by our buyer, and that for our purchase she is waiting for some enquiries been answered!!! She said previously that these had been answered so god knows what's going on.
Was hoping for some good news this week but feels like we are going backwards!!! ARGH!0 -
Ok so we finally, after much stress and misery since November, appear to have agreed what goes on the contract as being sold. Our lender had told us last Tuesday they have reviewed the issues our solicitor reported to them and told her she was good to go. Only to discover today this didn’t happen and they have a 5 day turnaround from today to do this even though it’s their mistake, has been stuck with them already for 5 days and was raised with them before then?
Oh well. Tomorrow is another day. We needed to complete on the 12th just gone, but couldn’t so we broke the chain and are now living in an air bnb which we booked til the 26th. It’s a nightmare.

😬 I hear you - keep going, we are at week 9 in temp accommodation and have been ready for our purchase for 4 weeks this week with delays due to our vendors onward purchase. Doesn’t sound like it will be as long for you but I know how each setback feels when you just want to get to your new home. Telling myself over and over that it will be worth the wait and looking at the rightmove listing of our new home making plans every day to keep me going 😂 2 kids being home schooled and WFH in the mix too - couldn’t have picked a better time to move 🤦🏻♀️tigerlily74 said:Ok so we finally, after much stress and misery since November, appear to have agreed what goes on the contract as being sold. Doesn't look like we are completing this week. We had agreed a date for the end of this week, but the vendor's solicitor made a mistake and now a document has had to be re-signed. We now all have to sit and wait whilst this document reaches the solicitor, via the post, before we can even discuss another date. Meanwhile, my body has realised that over 7 months of this stress is way too much and I now feel physically, and emotionally, done with it all.
I work front-line in the NHS and have a really busy few weeks ahead. I have one day off in the next 11 days, so the vendor's solicitor agreeing a date, and then changing their mind, has caused a lot of stress. I just want to complete so that I can be free of this stress.

This is so rubbish - I am sorry 😞 Really hope it works out soon for you and that work pressure ease as we continue to navigate our way through this pandemic, we have all seen the demands on the front line workers - not surprised you feel the way you do.WiseOwl00 said:Doesn't look like we are completing this week. The vendors solicitor agreed to go ahead without the report, now our solicitor is just waiting for final confirmation.Anty21 said:
