    And we have exchanged.

Burst into tears of relief. Been a rocky journey since end of July when house went on the market, with a few bumps along the way. We complete on Thursday and furniture etc comes out of storage on Saturday.

Oh, and I've managed to book our 1st COVID vaccinations  - husband tomorrow, me on Friday. Going to a busy few days ahead :o .

Good luck to all who are waiting for that call.
Delighted for you. Congrats. A great news week all round!

We are still waiting for our vendor's solicitors to resolve an issue with a restrictive covenant on the property we are buying. They have put this issue in the hands of a 22-year-old trainee who is totally clueless. Our solicitor is having to guide her on what she needs to do.
    God give me strength.
    Wish us luck.

My purchase don't have a completion certificate for their 2006 extension.... Sol doesn't seem concerned about it but a friend who works in planning says my lender will want it plus it means we'll face same issue when we come back to sell. All planning and regs approvals in place just was never actually signed off.... No actual issues with the work as survey suggests structurally sound, just that one bit of paper missing!

We had this issue this week, we didn't have a certificate for an extension done before we moved into the house we are selling.  An indemnity insurance was purchased to get around it.  It only cost us £60

That's what I was thinking although my planning friend would be happy to send one of his guys round but surely after 15years they can't sign it off retrospectively as the regs etc would have changed?

Anyway not wanting to to hijacked this thread just another piece to the ever complicated jigsaw 😂

Thanks DQ, you actually made me LOL this morning.
Fingers crossed your solicitor will actually tell the 22 year old clueless trainee what to do, diplomatically & in legaleese obviously. Its past the time for handholding & gentle guidance ;)
    Good luck

    Good luck today all x
  • Completion day today, haven’t heard anything yet but I suppose it’s not even 9am yet.

I’ve spent the past 6 months on this board (although under a different username) and I’m so grateful to you all for being so supportive! So many of you helped me along the way of what has been an extremely turbulent sale!!
