So got some paperwork through today. Land registers, the list of items sellers are leaving and general information. There’s nothing to say what date they want to exchange on but I need it to be end of the month if possible. Also need to complete around the 20th of the month but need a month notice for my current flat. The dates are stressing me out as I want to get my money’s worth in the flat rather than pay extra weeks or so money.Mortgage free wannabe

So my flat Sold STC 11.11.19
Had offer accepted on the house 22.11.19
Structural survey done- few issues to look at.
Mortgage company survey done and offer received same day- beginning of December
Structural survey issues result in the vendor making an insurance claim to get drain repairs done.
Repairs done Jan 2020, chasing paperwork for warranty's etc.
Flat sale falls through last week after potential buyer being a nightmare for months- Flat back on the market. Get an offer in 48hours. Accepted.
That buyer then fails ID checks- back on the market.
House insurance paperwork came through on Friday 13/03
Sorting house insurance out for the house, my solicitors ready to go with deposit etc, vendor still being slow sorting out remaining insurance issues.
Hopefully last viewing of the house this week, exchange Friday/Complete 27th hopefully... fingers crossed something will happen with the flat in the meantime!! Phew... it's been emotional!

Enquiries are going to take weeks to answer - conversations happening whether the gentleman I am buying from will break the chain given covid 19, etcI am a Protection Adviser. I am unsure if my sale will be going ahead with this virus. I’ve emailed solicitor for information. I’m worried because if there’s a completion date on the exchange of contracts and we have to self isolate or lockdown then it goes against it. I’ve always wanted a home and looks like it could be slipping awayMortgage free wannabe
