Well, call from my solicitor today asking me to do an indemnity for the use of the service road even though I've done a stat dec as requested and it's on the property information form.  Apparently buyers solicitors are now asking if I've signed (a month ago) and for exchange dates - mine is going to say ASAP.
I dont know what sort of queries my solicitor  will have. Its off the housing Association so I don't see how they will be able to answer. Ive lived here for 8 years already so I already know the house inside out!
Are you currently renting a housing association and now buying it through shared ownership?

Well earlier in the week, it looked as if everyone in the chain was ready to exchange...

It's now the first two (in a chain of 3) are ready but top of the chain are going into a new build using HTB. We are now waiting for their Authority to proceed, and then authority to exchange before anything else.

It's true that buying a house is not for the impatient! 😭

Please help out I am going crazy so...

We accepted on offer on our flat 06.02. (cash buyers)
Our offer on the house was accepted 10.02.
We have our mortgage formal offer 25.02.
But since then our house sellers still haven't had their offer accepted on the house they want. That's almost four weeks from them accepting our offer. Are they taking too long?

That really depends on how you feel tbh.  You could wait for them or you could ask them to break the chain and get on with your purchase.

Nothing so far.  My solicitor called me yesterday to find out !!!!!! is going on.  I relayed the information that the Estate Agent told me last week and he tried to chase everyone up for exchange but no one came back to him.  I have already called the agent this morning to find out what is going on, and I have called and left a message for my solicitor today.  At this rate we probably will be completing in May !!!!!!.  I have now pushed back an order I had placed for delivery on 18/03 to May and same for the parking bay suspension outside of our house.  This is stressing my husband out majorly.  I think I need a break (down)!

  • We were supposed to exchange yesterday but didn’t in the end, as our seller was flying back from holidays and didn’t give final authority in time. Should be happening today! Completion date set for next Thursday. So excited and nervous! Our buyers are coming tomorrow evening to measure up and I feel awful because the place is now covered in boxes and mess.

I pre warned mine about the boxes when they wanted to come and measure up the other day, the lady actually said it was a much better / neater mess than their house was!! :)
