This time last year I spent the whole day going through paperwork highlighting proof of source of funds for our solicitors on a house purchase we eventually pulled out of. A year on we're due to exchange this Thursday on a totally different style of house in a different town.

Mortgage offer has come through, so I'm hopping on board this thread for the exchange process.

New build property and develop have their own solicitors and so do the mortgage lender. Thankfully, the solicitors are the same. So I'm thinking this might help speed the process up a little!

Happytails- You are getting interest so that's good, hopefully it won't be too long until you get a sensible offer

Rang solicitors today for an update - they are waiting for the final search (drainage) to come through.

When i had my survey done, they advised to ask the vendor specific things in relation to building regs work, cavity wall insulation guarantee...am waiting for solicitors to send me enquiry form so I can ask everything! God know when I will receive this....

I am just a bit fed up with it all now. Think I would be more excited if it was my 'dream' house and not a reno project! Even when i get the keys i prob won't move in for 6 months! eeeeeeeek

    Anyone else waiting for searches?
