Oooh Mutley - so last minute! are you exchanging and completing on the same day?
Chazzab - here's hoping we both exchange today
My sol emailed at 8.22 this moring to get an answer to my lenders query! But I decided not to check my emails before I got to work so didn't reply until 10:eek: it was me being slow today. (I have an hour commute and didn't think she'd email so early, normally I'm chasing)
She's checking they will release the funds and how much, to see if we can exchange, so it could happen today, or tomorrow or Monday :rotfl: esp as my broker said he'd had them email him yesterday saying they had confirmed release of funds for completion on the 30th. The waiting is killing me.
HA HA HA ..sometimes you have got to make them wait
Sending everything your way for a successful exchange today !!!!!0 -

Don't forget cashback
i just did quick quotes using my initials last week. Got new quotes again today and most have gone up Direct Line telling me because its at short notice!0 -
Mutley - You could get interim insurance and then go elsewhere ?0

Seems like we are one step forward and two steps back today! We expected that our buyers solicitors would have their searches back by yesterday at the latest (local council confirmed week of the 15th that all searches were taking 6-8 working days, no searches were currently outstanding or late) and we had assurance from the buyers that searches had been ordered on the 12th at the latest. Buyer chased his solicitor today, and she says she expects to receive results on the 6th Feb!! Looks suspiciously like she forgot to order them to me, given the 6th is conveniently 6-8 working days from now. Argh! Was really hoping to exchange on the sale this week for completion on the 9th.
I think I need to mentally check out of this process for a while! If everyone was competent and honest in this transaction we would be sitting on our new balcony in the sunshine right now, not staring at boxes and wondering how many more weeks (months?) we’ll have to stare at them for!!0 -
Yeh I did the same with insurance, going to cancel it within the 14 days cooling off period though and change to a better one I think, after we've completed tomorrow.
NatWest show you your mortgage balance when you go onto your online banking (assuming you're an existing online banking customer) scary seeing that minus figure!0 -
Keeping everything crossed for everyone hoping to exchange today, despite currently being surrounded by a sea of boxes and other associated packing paraphernalia
Our solicitor called an hour ago to say that everything is ready for completion on our sale tomorrow.....yay!
We've instructed him to stall slightly on our (repo) purchase while we investigate boreholes in greater detail.....oh, the joy!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -

who offers that? Would it not work more expensive? I mean DL only quoting £250 B&C (whereas it was £220 last week). so not a massive increase.
vendor has been asked by his sol to pay £130 just to sign a letter confirming no access restrictions! they are not happy.0
