Glad to see some of you making progress.
We decided to take a few bits over to the new house today in our campervan, reversed it on to the driveway and the back wheel went straight through a manhole cover 😂 quick trip to Jewsons for a new one and will have to get a handyman type person to come and cement it in properly as it’s just laid over for now to stop the postie or someone going down the hole!

I'm doing that thing where I'm sat in the office struggling to concentrate on work, because our solicitor is looking to report back on the responses to enquiries today - whether or not they are satisfactory is probably either the go-ahead or deal-breaker for tying in our completion date of sale & purchase together. It's hard to sit here doing nothing, even though I know that sending yet another pointless email won't help anyone!2

- Still waiting to hear back from the mortgage company about updated paperwork after the seller accepted our revised offer last week.
- We received the TR1 and draft contracts late last night. Need to sign and send them back asap. I'm planning on driving to our solicitor's office to do this rather than rely on the post during strike periods.
- First round of enquiries was sent to the seller's solicitor yesterday. No idea how many or how complicated.

Update on our purchase:
- Revised Mortgage Offer received from Santander today, which has been forwarded to the solicitor.
- Draft contracts and TR1 forms hand-delivered to the conveyancer's office.
- All enquiries are with the seller's solicitor as of the start of the week...
...So now it's a waiting game. From this thread and others, I've gathered that the timescale on enquiries is 'how long is a piece of string'.

Solicitors have tentatively suggested completion on 21st as long as the outstanding transfer form arrives. We’ve been sent TR1, contracts etc today to sign - planning to hand them in rather than post!!!
Not getting excited as it may not happen if the form doesn’t appear but seems all parties agreeing to 21st (apart from my husband who things it’s too much stress but that’s another story!!)4 -
We’ve had an email to say our buyers solicitors have applied for his help to buy money once confirmed we can arrange a date. Looks likely to be the week beginning the 19th December. Not ideal but have to go with the flow I guess0

Ksw3 said:@ellebelle_x do you know when they died? If it's 2022 I think they have a new system which makes it quicker.
Also I've read that people have had success chasing things up with them through their web facility. Might be worth letting EA know she he can let the sellers know.
I hope it comes through soon as I know how difficult it to be!
EA has since gone dark on me and my solicitor, who has also chased
Thank you, have pretty much put a Christmas move to bed - trying to think ‘New Year, new house’ nowEllebelle1
