Getting frustrated with everything.  The transfer form still hasn’t been received (apparently posted last Weds) just so fed up with everything

    Absolute nightmare!!!!
We were due to complete next week and the bank have today advised that we need to get a new offer at a higher rate as the product is no longer available…when I probed a bit further they said it was due to our offer expiring however it does not expire until the end of this month.

It is with the broker who has argued the heck out of it and being looked into but who knows what will happen. Really could have done without this.

This has been the longest most draining 10 months and now I don’t know if we are moving 😭

@smku I’m sorry to hear this.  Don’t understand why they are saying product is no longer available if your offer is still valued.  How frustrating.  Hope your broker can get things cleared up for you

We are with Halifax and we are porting our existing mortgage and adding an extra product for the new part of the loan. I’ve checked through their terms as to why they can pull an offer and none of them apply. So confused as to what’s going on but I am hoping the fact they need to look into it is good news and someone just made a massive error.

Thank you!! This is what 20 years of loyalty with the same bank and lender gets you. Think it’s time to move elsewhere.
  • Exactly 4 months after we made our offer.. the sellers solicitor has finally answered all 14 of our (fairly standard) enquires. Cannot believe it has taken this long considering there is no chain either side.

We are hoping to complete by the 19th if we can get the funds from the lender in time!
