Absolute nightmare!!!!
We were due to complete next week and the bank have today advised that we need to get a new offer at a higher rate as the product is no longer available…when I probed a bit further they said it was due to our offer expiring however it does not expire until the end of this month. It is with the broker who has argued the heck out of it and being looked into but who knows what will happen. Really could have done without this. This has been the longest most draining 10 months and now I don’t know if we are moving 😭0 -

RM_2013 said:@smku I’m sorry to hear this. Don’t understand why they are saying product is no longer available if your offer is still valued. How frustrating. Hope your broker can get things cleared up for you0

Finally we are done. Just had the call (9:30am) to say we’ve completed and the keys are ready to collect.Honestly, I don’t know how I feel! Absolutely sick of everything that’s happened - as a FTB when you hear people say buying a house is one of most stressful things you do in life, I always brushed it off but having been through it now I agree! It’s mad. I’m mentally exhausted!
Anxiety is through the roof now with things like will the neighbours be horrible, just silly little bits but we’ll go and pick the keys up in an hour or two and take a car load over.
Our friend works for a removal firm and has been able to borrow a van for Saturday so that’s when we properly move so at least we can take it slow for a day or so!
Thanks for all the advice from everyone, I’ll definitely stick around to see how others get on who have been on a similar journey this year!7 -
Exactly 4 months after we made our offer.. the sellers solicitor has finally answered all 14 of our (fairly standard) enquires. Cannot believe it has taken this long considering there is no chain either side.We are hoping to complete by the 19th if we can get the funds from the lender in time!0
