No response from the bottom of the chain at all today. The very people who asked for Monday for completion. The EAs have been ringing the buyer and the solicitors emailing down the chain. So guessing that's a no for now. Hope it's no worse than that.

What a roller coaster @julicorn!

Not really much progress here.
On our purchase, we've followed up on the asbestos (present) and electrics (safe) following the survey and have decided not to bother with any renegotiation.

On our sale side, our buyers seem to have forgotten that they are in a hurry to complete by Xmas and are on the third round of fussing and asking for indemnity against a perceived breach of covenants! (A hedge, belonging to next door which has expanded onto our property and technically isn't allowed, worst case next door would have to remove it....they want a £300 indemnity policy!!)

Still trying to prepare for being homeless over Xmas and find a decent removal quote.

I've gone back a few pages to read your story what an absolute nightmare. It's such a frustrating process.

Our solicitor for my sale said they're planning to exchange either tomorrow or Monday with completion happening on the same day (cash buyer). Fingers crossed its tomorrow - it will be funny having so many zeros in my bank account for a few days before its all gone again  😅

Emailed the estate agents yesterday to tell our vendor to make sure her solicitor is actioning the last two enquiries our solicitor sent on Wednesday. We were told that she's on it.

I'm going to be calling and emailing every other day to get this through. We got just about this close on a previous attempt when it all ground to a halt and our mortgage offer expired, so I'm extra jittery right now!

Just had a call from our solicitor saying she’s got a call arranged at 4:45pm to exchange.. I feel sick.. seems mad it’s actually bloody happening!

Edit: she’s just emailed to say they never called her…. Brilliant… try again Monday I suppose!
