Hi,
Has anyone else who's buying been asked by the solicitor to purchase indemnity insurance? I have been told I need Chancelry Indemnity and now one for Mines and Minerals...0 -
Also ghosted by the estate agents not giving us info about the top of the chain! Urgh!!TXC said:Well it looks like I've just been absolutely ghosted until Tuesday, livid isnt the word0 -
Hope the weekend goes well for all of you waiting.
Had a small update just before closing & everything seems to be on track but been here before so not counting chickens just yet .. We are moving into onward home very soon but falling way behind on getting everything in place so a little extra time is welcome just hope it doesn't go the same way as last time & a pull out a day before exchange
At least it's a long weekend so no email watching & just relax in what hopefully will be nice weather0 -
After a very long day just wanted to pop on to say we finally completed today!
August 2021 we accepted an offer on our house, house we were buying fell through December and we found our current new house in Jan 2022 😊
It's been painful for sure and reading your messages @TXC I can totally relate, the past 10 weeks I've hoped for an update to exchange before the weekend but was let down each time. So frustrating but it will happen so don't worry too much and I wish you all the luck!1 -

Loosing the will waiting to exchange.... Had offer accepted in Jan with mortgage in place early Feb.
Both sides chain free & the house we are buying is empty. Vendor replied to all the enquiries over 2 weeks ago but her solicitor has still not sent the replies to my solicitor.
Was really hoping to complete 22nd April but that wont be happening now! So frustrating1 -
