When I moved mine last week it took about 4 hours to get into solicitors bank so tbh proabbly better your date moves to tuesday and he transfers today (assuming he's doing that) to cut down delay. Still so frustrating for you!

I've not heard anything from my sols yet (was promised a phonecall update either way so trying my absolute hardest not to call them until at least 4pm!) - I'm hoping no news is good news!0

@viccie7 that is frustrating. You wonder if they decided to go incommunicado so that they could dictate everything on the assumption everyone else just wants to complete...WhenI sold my first flat Ihsd the buyer ask about who held / managed the building's bank account for sink fund. It was explained that there wasn't a bank account. They asked the same question another 3 times. Then they wanted the company secretary for the limited company (management company) to confirm in writing this was correct. They then kicked up a fuss that it was me who signed the letter wanting to know why I did it and they asked for the company secretary. Fortunately my solicitor tactfully resent the 'annual return as it was then' highlighting that I was the company secretary. No wonder I hD nightmares years later thinking I still owned the flat.May you find your sister soon Helli.

@TripleH I did wonder that, it's so frustrating because in terms of logistics the actual completion day means so much less to him, I have to coordinate removals, 3 year old twins and a dog (and a husband) to our new house, where as they are going to be renting it out.
It doesn't help going into the 4 day easter weekend except for knowing we can't do anything more over the weekend.0 -
just called sols for an update and got told they will call be back after beng on hold...hope I get put out of my misery either way before the long weekend!0

@TXC I hope you get some answers.
I've had a less successful phone call from solicitors, they are still trying to get our buyers solicitors to agree to exchange on 19th.
Bizarrely the estate agent has called to see if we would show potential tenants round the house prior to exchange!!!! I have just responded that it would be a possibility if they agreed to our exchange and completion date next week, other wise no chance!0 -

Still, at least you know they're still keen...even if they don't want to commit to exchange and completion
I'm still waiting for sols to call me back...office closed 15 mins ago. I'll be less than impressed if I'm sent into the long weekend with no comms after being promised yesterday they'd call me to update either way.

I tried replying to comments but couldn't add text!
Re.my prolonged attempt at purchasing a house- yes, we should have walked away months ago, however promises that the process was moving etc from the estate agent and seller. She is purchasing a leasehold flat and the questions her solicitor has asked are ridiculous.
It's difficult to know whether to jump ship or wait...but I doubt bottom of the chain are going to hang around.0 -
Well it looks like I've just been absolutely ghosted until Tuesday, livid isnt the word0
